Decarb mistake and question

I'm wondering where to go from here:

My goal was to decarb 1 gram of weed in the oven at 240F for 1hr in a tightly closed mason jar.

What happenned: I put the jar with weed inside the oven, which had been at 170F and forgot to turn it on. It sat there for almost an hour, likely maintaining at least some of the heat throughout the time period. Then someone accidentally turned on the oven to 325F. The jar was in the oven for about 5 minutes. The oven hadn't quite reached 325F at that point.

To what extent has the cannabis been extracted of THC/CBD(etc.)?

How much longer should I decarb the cannabis? If you have any scientific knowledge on the matter please do share this! Thanks!

Cannabis doesn't extract to THC/CBD. The process of decarboxylation converts tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THCA) to THC. THCA won't have any effects until it has been converted to straight THC. When you put the lighter to your pipe, you're decarb-ing live-time.

THCA is THC with an added carboxyl group (carbon and oxygen molecules), which makes it more acidic. Decarboxylation is the process of removing this carboxyl group from the THCA. The heat releases the molecules in the form of C02 gas. What's left over is straight THC.

I decarb for 20 minutes at 250F.

When I make my edibles with my shatter, I decarb it in a 250degF oven for an hour. Good stuff

for edibles I like to perform my decarb using concentrates mixed in either butter, coconut oil or vegetable oil.

1 - I take the amount of oil that is required for the recipie I want to make

2 - I take my extract (rosin usually, sometimes BHO) and I add it to a small sauce pan with pre heated 250F oil and stir for 20 minutes with the candy thermometer, using it to keep the temp at 250F, just lifting the pan on and off the burner works best for me.

3 - After the 20 minutes I put the pan in a cold water bath to stop the decarb. Once the oil mixture is at room temp it can be used in the recipe or frozen / refrigerated for later use.

If I am making brownies and I intend to cut 16 brownies out of the pan, I can measure out the concentrate to get so many miligrams per brownie. You just have to know the percentage of THC in the concentrate or just guess at say 80%. So if I want 50mg ish brownies and I have a concentrate that I believe is around 80% THC the math is:

16 x 50 = 800mg

800mg / 80% = 1000mg

So I need to add one gram of the 80% concentrate to the cooking oil required for the brownie recipe.

You can also take @Renfro recipe and put in topper bottle fo tincture ( judge dosage drops ) , or drop oil in tea , summer drink or coffee , and even a simple beeswax infusion for topical use. Coconut oil has an incredible Amount of built in Benefits from coconut alone.

Using dried flower can be double boiled and screened before storing / use.
Sublingual tincture dosing ( under tongue ) can really kick you in the booboobongsmilie:weed:
