So you qualify for bigger loans and credits and shit. That's how my old man (triple A+ customer) ended up owing like 200,000 to the bank after being sucked into a line of credits and loans to fix the roofing, or changing all the floor tiles. We never missed a payment, but ended up selling the house to finish up paying the debt in one sitting, and finally move out of the fucking city. You my friend, are the sweetest fruit of all, you can actually pay them for as long as they see fit. They certainly ain't stupid.

This is a way for them to get the car back on repossession while still keeping your down payment and dinging the fuck out of you for late payments. If you have a lawyer, call him and have him do the work. One call from a lawyer and I bet 2 days later that payment comes out. Dude is right about you being the sweetest fruit of all. They know you can pay and will pay to keep your credit score. Be weary AS FUCK. Follow up on this constantly while putting the payments away into savings. Don't wanna see you get all fucked over by some cunt face at some half-ass Toyota dealershit.

My problem was that I could take a shower under the roof whenever it rained. But 50 feet of wood and materials are expensive. Solid, long lasting tiles as well. Fixing holes in the septic tank, overhauling the car after 15 years of tear and wear, and so on and so forth. Most of that shit happened in a 5 year period.

The title is everything. Find out who has it. If the finance company will send it to you, then, yes, the dealership bought you a car. Car + title = you own it. They should be able to tell you who has the title. That's who is expecting your payments.

the title is the key, if you have that you are all set.

Put the money in a separate account and then at least you can keep the interest.

I don't entirely agree with you. I don't see how they can ding me for a late payment on a loan I never agreed to or signed; I just don't see that standing up in court. If they could it would make a mockery of our legal system; the entire premise of having your signature on a contract would be worthless. It would be utter insanity, which from my experience so far is not how any reputable organization works. I also don't think I will be willing to pay any fees simply to keep my credit score low. I already have 2 houses and 2 cars. I have enough money to buy the car out right, I just can't pass up a sweet financing rate like that. I don't even need credit any more.

$200,000 worth of unexpected expenses? I'm sorry but it sounds like you guys were woefully unprepared for the situation and/or weren't as financially astute as you believed.

I found out what happened, kind of.

The dealership sent a check over to toyota financial, and instead of paying off the old lease, they incorrectly applied it to the new loan. Or at least they tell me that is what happened and they are trying to straighten it out.

What I don't understand is wtf account did they pay off? They claim it was the lease, but that is not how leases work. When my wife leased the car they take a down payment, then you owe X dollars spread out over the life of the lease. So she had 36 payments of $X (i don't know what it was exactly). On the last month she had the car she made the final payment on the lease and her balance was $0 because she didn't owe anything on the lease anymore. So how the fuck does her lease account have a $10,000 balance at the end of the lease when her balance was at $0? How can it simultaneously be $0 and $10,000? I thought maybe there was some third account between the dealership and toyota financial that they use for accounting purposes, but the loan that got paid off was not a third loan, it had the same account number as her lease.

The whole thing doesn't make any sense to me.

I don't have the title. I don't know where the title is, they never sent it to me (or rather it hasn't shown up in the mail yet). It sounds like the dealership and the financial services don't have a clue what is going on.
