If you are having an issue giving them too much water then pick up some Root Riot plugs. Once the tap root shows, pull a plug out of the bag, put the seed in it, put that in some soil in a solo cup, put a cup over it, and leave it until it sprouts. In case you missed it, I purposely left out any mention of watering. The plug will have enough moisture in it right out of the bag. If you leave the bag open, and your plugs dry out, then dip them in water and squeeze them hard until they stop dripping, and then put the seeds in them. I switched to this awhile back and have never had any issues since.
