Day 67 trichs CLOSEUP... still not ready??

ive started from seed and im pushing mine into the 10th week of veg of 18/6... the plants are big and trust me all i want to do right now is crop them... but as ive read heard and learned in the end it is so much better if you wait!

I hardly used nutes at all.
All I used was BioBizz Bio Grow.
3ml per liter about once a week only!
(I had a nute accident once and now i'm very scared to over nute and kill plants again)
I just got BioBloom but now its too late to use!
I guess I'll need to use it on the Jack and next batch of NL x H.

+rep. VERY nice grow my friend!!!!! They look pretty much ready to me (btw, excellent photography!) but I personally might give them a couple of days just to be safe --- but I also don't see any problem with chopping now!!

I just harvested a couple of nice buds also.....one with the trics pretty much clear so I could enjoy the "high", the other when I saw amber covering half .... I like having a choice of UP or DOWN.....get busy into my hobbies or watch tv, listen to music videos with the manic munchies....definitely don't drive on some of this stuff....
I've been making judgement calls via a 20x but just got a 60-100x scope so I can get even better at it..... Checking my weed under a scope is a fav pastime....

I hear EVERYTHING you said man. one of the biggest reasons i started growing was so that i could have a variety of ups and downs to choose from according to the situation. and ya, looking at your trichs through a scope is just the coolest thing ever.
Do you think that my scope is enough? like is it clear in that pic? I want to be sure not to have much if any amber... maybe the beginning of turning amber or something. only a serious scope would see that right?

100x times is wicked but ya 30x is gd enuff m8, its like another world wen u stare dwn the scope aint it, i had abug once stuck in a load of trichs made the fly look awesome big ol bug eyes an a crystal body

Here's a tip.
When checking your trichs for color, do in the dark. The HPS lights have a yellow cast to them and it filters out the amber color so when you are looking at them, you don't see the amber even it is there. Also, make sure your scope has fresh batteries so the light is nice and bright white. Weak batteries will cause the scope light to put off a yellowish light as well.
fdd2blk was right to look at the plants ... not just the trichs. Look at the whole forest not just the tree.

This is what came out of the harvest. some has been dried already and some not. I didnt have enough time to chop them all so i did it in two stages a few days apart.
Been smokin the stuff that is dry enough to smoke and it's killer. Super strong and it smells so good. I'm really happy with it.

Thanks man. I couldn't have done it without the help and info here on RIU. I learned more than half of what I know on here! I'm surprised at how much work it is though. growing good shit is a lot of work! I can understand why people charge so much now. I was always like 'man, this shit is so expensive'. But now I appreciate it more and realize that it really is worth that much. What an experience this is!Very good job man, that's some bud to be proud to say you grew. Usually people harvest way too early, good job on letting her ripen to it's full swollen beauty.

beautiful photographs. Cane, may I ask how do you take pics of a microscope shot? I'd love to be able to do this on mine. I'm on my first big grow and trying to figure out my harvest time as well. My microscope isn't good enough..I bought one at an online hydro store with a light in it, but I can't see anything. I want something that isn't cheap and that will last and do the job correctly. does anyone recommend a good one to purchase? I've invested enough in everything else, I don't want to mess up harvest time after all of this work.

Believe it or not I use a 30X-50X hand microscope with built in light. It's not perfect but as you can see in the pic, it's sufficient. It's also a big hit when i bring it along when I go to a party or something. Everyone loves it.
Anyway, I have a 7.1 megapixel camera and I just put the lens directly on the eye piece of the scope. The lighting has to be perfect or the pics wont come out. That's the trick.
My advice to you is to get a 200X and really get close. It's not such an investment like a 400w HPS system or something like that.

do a search on your favorite shopping website for "eyeclops" it's a toy that does 100-400 times magnification. there's a camera one that'll snap shots for under fifty bones.
I have the camera one, and the non camera one.
