Word bro! That's exactly what I was looking for. 136 FluoroWatts.
I'm running 156 FluoroWatts. I have 260 FluoroWatts available in the room, but I can't keep them all on because the temp get's to fucking high! If I run all my lights the temp exceeds 100 degrees F! I would REALLY like to use ALL of my lights, but can't find a way to cool down the grow room..... :-? So I guess the 156 will have to do... Unless anybody has any ideas? lol

Sweet looking plant BTW. I can't wait for mine to look that harry! :weed:
...the answer to heat issues is always the same, more ventilation, or a/c. Do you have enough intake/exhaust capability to exchange the air completely in just about 5 min?
That was the first thing I had to adress when I set up my grow. I'm using a twin 600w HPS in a 10x10 room, 8x10 of which is garden. with 1200 watts burning I can maintain 78-80 f with no a/c in the winter, and simply by pulling the ambient household air in during the summer. I just provide more airflow than is necessary for my space and it works very well.

dont harvest early make sure you do alot of research about it.. im on 3rd grow and still not too sure. be careful it could ruin yer first grow going so well.

now you can invest in a 400hps. small intake on the bottom and medium outake on the top. run it at night for cooler temps.
Your plant looks great but its lacking density and overall weight. Thats amazing what you did with those lights alone, now if you were doing it with a hps you would have some crazy bud. is it in soil? or soilless?
what strain is that?

I will be posting pictures in a couple minutes, I took quite a few... so I have to sort through and upload only the good ones.... so everybody hang tight. I promise its worth the wait.

The plant is bagseed, unknown strain... but it is from kush.... and she definitely has that sweet kush smell.... ooh does she smell so good... definitely like the kush she came from for sure!!!

It's her 43rd day flowering.... I'm hoping she will be finished in maybe 2-3 weeks. (day64-65ish).... but who knows...

:hump:
I was sooo worried about the decision of when to cut my first grow, and don't you know..............I took them early! The only REAL way to know is to scope the trichomes...........
Not only does it show you exactly where you stand, but gives you the ability to do a selective harvest if you wish to achive different "highs" from the same weed. (look into the stages of ripening trichomes...) A decent scope can be found on ebay for 10 bucks or less with 30-100x magnification.
This has been the only sure way I have found to know the right time to harvest. I grow W.Widow, which I was told was an 8wk strain.........not so. I haven't finished one yet in under 10wks. Even then, I left a couple for another wk and wished I had waited on the rest as well.

....yep, got that one right. I forgot to mention that I always burn my lights at night for several reasons.........
1. much easier to maintain cooler temps
2. I live alone, so it is a safety issue to have them burning unattended IMO
3. I need them on while I'm home so that I can tend the garden without having to work under a green light, which makes it tough to see the real condition of the garden as color rendering is poor.

Well yea, I have an intake/exhaust system. But my exhaust is barely pushing out any air. My intake is straight PUMPING air like a MoFo! I can't seem to find a fan that will work well for the exhaust tho! (without having to sepend more than $20ish) That's my main problem! I'm using a 80MM, 12V, 35CFM CPU fan powered by a 5V phone charger. I need a higher voltage charger to speed it up, but can't seem to find one... I NEED to go to Radio Shack... What kind of fans do you guys use? Suggest?

Personally, I don't use a fan for intake. My exhaust at the top of the room is strong enough to pull copious amounts of air through a passive intake vent.(which is the floor vent in that room from the a/c system in the home) The wall mount fan is just to keep the air moving and to keep my girls strong enough to carry the load I put on them! :weed:
Dig the thread guys, gotta run to the quiky mart for some wraps, be back soon.......... :joint: s.loner

Try to switch your intake with your outake. like stoned loner said he does use an intake because his outtake draws new air in through his "intake duct" That would only work good if you have a lot of extra space and your room isnt a grow tent or grow HOTBOX. Personaly i like the intake fan because it cools my room and alows me to bring my lights 12inches from the canopy. when the lights go OFF i have a heater outside my room infront of my intake drawing warm air into my room to maintain constant temp of 15C when the lights go off and in canada thats warm haha when they are ON its 24 all night.
my outtake takes the air out when its over 85f and 60 humidity. It takes the air out of my room is 45 seconds :)

Oh cool! Thanks man! I will be looking for a larger fan for my exhaust...

And DAYAM! That is some air movement! That's what I need! lol

....yea, I do have allot of cubic footage. My bloom room is 10x10x7'6".........that's 750cuft! My garden is actually only using 8x10, but it breathes well as the intake is in the floor(4"x10") and my exhaust is at the ceiling, pulling 400 + cuft per min, venting through a 6" duct..
swtching your existing fans, like mr.smiley said would be my first move if you don't want to spend much, or any $. Also, if your intake is larger than your exhaust it will help also, in that there will be less resistance on your exhaust fan.......

...sorry bro, you're right. Got way off track there going between a few threads and got sorta carried away.
Do you have any type magnification, like even a strong glass?
You can get a decent scope on ebay for about 10 bucks or less even. Looking at the trychomes has been the only way for me to know for sure when to cut, as I don't have enough grow experience to know just by looking at the plant. Also, there are different stages of ripening that will produce different types of highs. That can allow you to make a selective harvest if you want some with a heady high and some with a stone/couchlock high......
Still learning myself, but it has been a big help being able to see them up close!!
sorry for the jack bro........ :joint: s.loner
