UPDATE:
So the closet just wasn't cutting it. Finally broke down and bought a tent. Wish I would have had it a long time ago, my lonely plant could have been so much bigger! Oh well. I have it for the next run, which I have legit seeds for next time. This was my first time and wanted to see how I did before I invested too much into it. Anyway, this is day 28 of 12/12 and she is happy.
Its a slippery slope you know. Starts in a closet, goes to a tent, by next year you will have your family living in the garage and the whole house full of plants... :o

Your doing a great job though!

Hey man. Just started my first grow too. I'm 12 days in and can't help but think about my plants all the time lol do you plan to use a carbon filter for the smell? I was told the smell can get pretty strong. And at this point are you getting any odor for the plant?

This is so true! Now I am taking up a large corner in my bedroom, and the closet. I will start veg in closet and move to the tent for bloom on future grows. And I know i will be in trouble with the wife when she constantly catches me buying new things to improve the grow! I do believe I have found a new love.

Yes there is a distinct odor and yes a carbon filter and fan will be in my not so far off future purchases.. but right now I have a few bottles of ona gel in my room and the adjacent room. The one in my room has a fan blowing on top of it and it does a great job keeping the odor at bay. I dont smell it until I stick my nose in the tent

Not a troll, just know that plants need leaves.I have been growing for a long time and have never seen a need to rape my plants. When you strip the leaves it takes time for the plant to recover, time better spent on flowering.
If this were an outside grow, yes I'd agree, leave the leaves alone. But in an indoor grow, you have to contend with circulation, mold, and mildew when it gets too bushy, and your inner bud sights get no light and cant breath so you get your main colas that are good and everything else light airy and crap. I am a believer in defoliation, it has served me well on my indoor tomatoe plants as well. Tested and had great success.

It may not be the best light but definitely better than what I have. I have seen reviews on it and it puts out a good spectrum of light. And with a 5' tent height I am not going with HPS/Mh simply because I dont want to have to deal with that much heat and having to keep my next plants that low so they dont get burnt. Thanks for the unintelligent comment though. If you have something constructive to say, by all means but otherwise go troll somewhere else.
keeping doing your thing! Growers tend to forget that we all have individual factors at play that determine what we use and how we grow.

Thanks man, for sure! I just brush it off and keep going. If it isnt an intelligent critique, it goes in one ear and out the other. I am far from being the only person that defoliated, and I know there are blurple haters out there, but I've had some decent success from it. Is it as good as hps/mh, or QB'S? NO, and I'm aware, but better than the old school t8 or CFL's, great spectrum and I get plenty of canopy penetration, so I wouldn't call it crap, nd I am definitely not ignorant.

Ok but probably stupid question. I found a refurb 250w hps reflector and ballast for $65 would this be a better purchase than 5 epistar cob grow light pulling same wattage. And combining that with my blurple I have already that pulls 136 watts, could I theoretically pull a 1/2 lb each harvest?

I know it is not top of line but definitely an upgrade, by the time my next plants are ready for flowering I should have 2 of these which will be 500 watts, in a 2x4 tent. Thought of doing scrog, but with two different strains not sure how that would go. I will be trying bubba's gift and big bud next run.
1500 watt ... what the fuck its just a lie .. when you decided to buy a light just pay attention true watt value and other photosynthetic values like par and already chip trade or diode .. there are lots of things you need to search about horticulture lights

This is what I am referring to. After buying a bulb both that or the cob light would be about the same price. And being one for one on wattage i assume same heat.
I've always used hps lights for flowering. I love them. I don't know much about cobs, other than that seems to be what people are going with now days.

If you look, I called it 250 true watts. I am well aware that it is just a gimmick calling it 1500 watts, it is 5 50 watt epistar cobs. Thank you for looking out though. I do pay close attention.

The led blurple that I have like I said is 136 true watts. They call it 600 watts but I know better . The light is performing great, and fine for my first grow. I used bag seed to try to hone in on the experience and today I just planted a big bud by sensi seed and gorilla by dinafem. Both feminized seeds and photos. I would like to pull a half pound total from the two. Is this possible with the 136 watts blurple combined with 250w hps
