Day 12 and no flower?

I picked up a strain called bubblelicious (feminized) from nirvana and its now week 2 of flowerr and still no sign. The room is in complete darkness, unless I need to go in. Then I will use only a green light to enter the room.
The plants are recieving 12/12 of absolute darkness, and the co2 level is 1700ppm, the nutreients are at 1700ppm. the rmH is about 55, the tempeture is at 79.3 at all times. The are not flowering, they are just getting taller and taller. anyone have any idea of whats going on?

Those don't look very big, My guess is they need to go a few more days before they show. Those are all off of fem seeds? Thats a lot of plants to sex. looking good. Give it a few more days and start looking above the nodes.

Where do all these noobs come from with first time posts about grow problems yet they have a 100 plant + grow...???

Thanks, they are 18" to be exact, they are all from fem, but they are all clones.

shit man thats some lovely bud porn lol u obviously no what ya doing i have a PPP plant that dusnt show ne buds for at least 2wks i was really worried 1st time i flowerd her cause i had different strains flowering aswel that were showing buds after 8-9 day but the PPP had nuffing until at least 2wks then when it started showin it just took off and the bud grew very quick.

Call me what you want... doesn't bother me.

But lately we have had a lot of 1st time posts by people that just joined this month, asking questions about grows (with lots of pictures) of excess than 100 plants...!

Is this your first grow with Bubbleicious?

Yes, but its not my first with the white strain, white strain by deffinition takes only 4 - 10 days to show sex and flower

I've heard of some strains taking 2 to 3 weeks before they show their sex.

Which brings me to a thought I had late last night right before I fell asleep...

just something to remember.


When growing cannabis, it can be easy to get confused and forget things. Sometimes, even important things get forgotten about which just causes that much more confusion later in the grow. I've noticed that every now and then, when reading peoples 'Grow Journals'... they tell how far into flowering their plant(s) are into flowering.. and I've noticed that some of these people actually make the mistake of counting the first day of changing the light cycle over to 12/12.. as being "flowering". Well, technically.. its not really flowering, its just a change of the light cycle. In other words, you have the plant "in flowering".. but the plant has yet to show its sex (male/female). We call this period, the "sexxing period".. which generally usually takes right about a week before I see any signs of sex.

My point is, is most people count all of the days of 12/12 as being flowering.. but technically its not. Your plant is in the "sexxing cycle". Once this cycle ends.. the plant will have shown you its sex.. therefore, as soon as you see the first signs of white hairs.. you should then start counting that day as the first day of flowering. Rather it be female or male (but of course, most of us are growing buds.. not breeding.. so we want female plants).

This can, and I'm sure has even possibly caused a few people to harvest their plants too early. I don't know that for a fact, so don't quote me on that statement. But I mean.. if you think about it you know, it could be possible that someone may have made this mistake before.. and therefore might have harvested their crop just a tad bit too early. Who knows though.. I have a HUGE imagination.

I'm 28 years old physically but I'm in good shape.. but mentally I feel about like I'm 20 or 21. hehehe..

anyhow, just thought I'd share my 2cents worth.

You're right on the money there Ganjaluvr! I dont start counting my actual flowering time till the flower apears. From that day forth I will count down the flowering time 8 - 10 weeks. And one week of flush

I agree with Sambo, I've had some strains take 2-3 weeks to show definite signs, but anymore I wait until I see asymetrical branching and sex during veg stage before moving to flowering room. The extra couple of weeks in veg for a bigger plant pays off in final yield, plus with the asym. branching you know she's ready to start producing buddage. Nice looking crop. Also, for what its worth, by your detailed description of conditions it was obvious to me that you arent a Noob.

try put them in darkness for 24 hours then resume the 12/12 schedule, you can also try feeding cold water to shock the plants into flowering.

Sucssess!!! Today they have buds!!! Today is a good Sunday!

Thank god jonny! I have three lil girls upstairs that are three weeks into veg, bubble fem from nirvana. I am going to clone them and get 6 total cus my NL fem are flowering right now. So happy your girls got some buds on them! Is it 100% or just some of them? I will sub to this thread if you are going to do a journal. With all your grows you should do one to help out us noobs! LOL thanks bro and once again smoke a cigar cus "it's a girl!"

Oh and did you give them a 24hr dark period before switching them?
