Darkroom 300W Grow Tent

Well, after much consideration I finally decided to take the plunge and purchase a grow tent. I went with the new Darkroom 300W (9'10" X 4'11" X 6'7"). I'm currently using a nice little room in the basement but I want an area that's easier to keep clean and I also want more control over the growing environment. I also have a new 16,000 BTU AC/Heater and a new carbon filter. I'll try to keep some nice records and pictures of my first grow with the latest tent out on the market!!

The picture attached is what was featured on the site that I ordered it from but I don't think it's the 300W? This picture looks smaller then the specs listed for the 300W.

Anyway, I'm just excited and had to share my news with some fellow growers.

I am not an expert yet on the art of growing INDOORS but im pretty sure you have something wrong here, it seems you misunderstood the lettering with the name. It seems you bought the dr300. Which is basicly 10ft-5ft-7ft. Which means you almost have room for 2 1000w lamps. You might know this and i might be the only one confused here but it's because you kept saying 300w. Good luck and i will be following you grow.

Don't be a nub. He's not talking about a 300 watt light. He's calling his darkroom a "300w".

Hotwired would be correct. There are two versions of the Darkroom 300, the basic 300 and the 300W (which I believe stands for "wide" as it is wider then the basic 300).

Also, here's a picture of the 300W!! I can't wait to set her up and get it all tricked out!!!!

I'm planing on buying the 7 foot long one soon. hoping to get 16 plants in two 3x3 trays (or something, haven't quite figured out wheather I want hydro or soil yet) w/ 2 600w hps, and seprate DR for clones and mommas. Plan is to get a 4 week perpetual harvest. I plan on keeping an eye on this and seeing how it gos, good luck!

Got mine today and put it together myself. Took me about 2 hours taking my time. I would recommend that you do it with a friend but if you don't want anyone to know, like me, you can definitely do it yourself.

I'll add all the lights and filter tomorrow and start doing test runs. I'll keep this thread updated with results

Just wanted to add this tidbit. I would guess that all the metal poles and the plastic holders would add up to about $75 at Home Depot. After putting it together I'm not so impressed with the price you pay for this thing. The skin is made well but for $635???

I really don't think it's worth that much money. That's the only complaint so far is the price. We will see once we get everything going and check for light leaks.

SJ tents are the best. I have one and they are really good. Hope you enjoy.
