darkness or not

I have delishous northern lights blue, week 9.5 flower, 80% red hair, only a couple amber trichs on tips of the leaves, so my question is , 48 hours of darkness or not? Ill try to get pics later, thanks in advance for any help!

I myself have not encountered any scientific evidence that a dark period prior to harvest increases resin production. I did an experiment years ago on some g-13's. It appeared that the ones placed in darkness prior to harvest were frostier. I personally discredited my botched experiment because the the two areas were not identical in terms of humidity and temperature.

Here it is, chopping in 2 days, or should i ?

Calyxes are swollen. Looks like you are at the latter part of the bud growth spurt. Imo it can be harvested at your predetemined window of two more days.

You say you have amber trichs, so that means they are starting to degrade. Look around at her, if most of the other trichs are cloudy with very little or no clear then chop. But if you are still seeing alot of clear trichs and not much or no amber, then let her ride. You want as few clear and amber trichs as possible, with as many cloudy trichs as possible.

I am not qualified to answer your question, however, your bud looks good...
Now question for you:
in your "week 9.5 flower" statement above, is that when you flipped the light time, or when she started flower ?
If it is when you flipped switch, I would wait, I still see many white new hairs...and the red ones have not almost all receded...
What % of clear Tric's ?
I have experienced some amber looking Tric's at leafs edge, where leaf had turned a little brown, When you get amber in middle of leaf, next to mostly milky, with less than 5-7% clear...
It will make clear tric's right up till end...

The very few amber i see are on leaf outer edges, maybe 1-2 % max. Prob 40% of the hairs changed over 2-3 days. the 9.5 weeks im counting was from light switch but i had shown sex week or so before the switch. So if i should wait please tell! already iced and am in darkness 5+ hours over normal, thanks again!
