Hmmmm, something locked, or sudden death I can’t remember what it’s called exactly but have seen documentation of it, has a name ugh just can’t remember lol

what’s the base water you use again? It’s PH and tap straight out...

for a bit I was adamant about PHing water in soil etc and if using salts then yes diff story, in Organics it’s not needed so much I’ve been finding.

I ditched the Ph meter a few months ago and haven’t looked back... garden is thriving with weekly/bi-weekly microbe doses (recharge/MammothP/fish shit/ewc tea) microbes and soils ph buffers do the work we try to do before we put water in. Microbe diversity helps in plant up taking nutes when it wants/needs it vs when we feed it to it. Relationship with the microbiology etc... so if you’re only option is to feed your soil salt/bottled nutes then yes feeding to 20% runoff and checking ppm and ph is needed but in fully organic living soil really all u need is decent carbon filtered water with no more than a base 250ppm, and some good microbes, fish hydrolase, craft blends...

not that any of that helps any...but If that soil is fairly fresh (within 3 months) I’d revert to plain water with some recharge for a week and then hit em with a feed again..

I could be wrong

I use distilled water from the store by the gallon i put 3ml calmag and 1/2 Epsom in every gallon then ph up to 6.3ish... that soil is fresh out the bag when i transplanted a few weeks ago. I did notice a few feeds back burnt tips so i skipped a nutes for a week or so on that plant. The thing is my mac1 is even showing some fading leafs from the bottom ,like i could've used more veg nutes...i was already done with this strain honestly so maybe this is my sign to pop this epic lemon freebies from mosca or the frosted watermelon autos when i clone cap's cut

I want to try organics what would be the easiest way for me to create my own water only soils? If you know of any guides id love to take a look. I hate that its a crime to garden in my area because learning from a master such as your self would be alot easier if we didn't have to hide in the closet lol

haha far from any master over here :P

ffof if its ocean forest or happy frog it should have enough amendments in it to last you about 2-3months just water imo....it says its got EWC and guano and crab meal etc... most soil fresh out of the bag if made well with a top dress at flip should hold plants for a full cycle, also imo.

so you could easily switch rn at low cost if you wanted to with a compost tea once a week with LABs, and either recharge or some other microbe inoculate.

just an example of a base water schedule I've adopted that's working amazing

Monday - (water at 5% of total medium volume 10g pot = .5 gal)
Tea day (compost, EWC,FAA/fish hydrolase)
Kelp
Alfalfa (stop in flower)
Molasses
LABS
SST (barley and oat in veg, alf and corn in flower)

Tuesday
No water/plain water

Wednesday - (water at 5% of total medium volume 10g pot = .5 gal)
Plain Water (can add agsil16 or big6 if wanted no need)

Thursady
no water/plain water

Friday - (water at 10% of total medium volume 10g pot = 1 gal)
one of the inoculants below....
recharge
mammothp
fish shit
rootwise
etc

Saturday
no water/plain water

Sunday
no water/plain water

so really the days between my main water days every week also say "plain water" are just incase any plant might be in a stage where she's drinking a lot and needs more water between her scheduled watering times. I usually do less thank 5% just enough to get them to their main water day. of course feed more if you notice more yellowing etc... when I say feed I mean compost tea, kelp tea etc but if I need to give my plants a good quick boost fish hydrolase works really well, Neptunes has a nice NPK (2-5-1) ratio for the entire grow for me

I never have to add any cal mag but to be fair it gets added by the micro nutes that are in the top dress I use as well in some teas.

so im not 100% sure what's going on in your soil rn but I'm also almost 100% positive that you could fix it with a week or two of the above even if you only had recharge or some other kind of microbe inoculate.

they will help regulate, your soil that fresh should have enough cal in it to get you to mid flower if not the end, I say that mainly bc its so fresh and your already flowering in it etc...

with your distilled water you esp don't need to PH bc its very unstable due to the lack of PPM... there more science explanation but basically the lack of PPM/elements/ions allows it to be influenced and changed really easy... that's why it takes me like 1 drop of ph up or down to change the ph of distilled water... that being said it should morph to the PH of your soil which should be around 6-7ph right out of the bag... I think the soil I use is at 6.1 from their tests...

no runoff means no leaching... everything stays in there and morphs...

you can make it work with what you have and it will def work...

you can grab a few living soil fabric pots (15gal min takes 2cf pet pot) and never have to take that soil out ever again if you do it right....
fill the pots
add 50-100 worms (worms can make their body weight in castings per day, they also double their population in 90 days)
top dress with ewc/compost/bokashi
cover with barley straw
water with the above
top dress with etc/compost at flip for flower
water with the above
harvest
top dress again
cover with barley straw
replant next to old root stock
start from beginning

I use a lite soil, form BuildASoil... and then do the above... vs buying an already mixed water only but that would work too... just after every harvest reamend etc..

if you wanna keep it long long term like years then a soil test after a year or two to check levels and get more detailed on what to add comes in but im not even there yet either...

ill look at some more resources that rlly helped me

if you have the space to keep the MAC mom she would do amazing in living soil...

imo its less work...

I mix water, train plants, stare at them, defoliate, pretty low work haha

thinking of moving to BB, wanna get in on the marketplace but do you have to complete a grow log form what I understand?

First off, thank you for taking the time to explain all this to me. I was looking into build a soil 4x2 deal with the fabric bed and soil its only like 80$ i thought that was a good deal. Im definitely going to be making some big upgrades when i get this move squared away. I took down my flowering tent and chopped banana og purple Lamborghini and strawberries n cream will get 24 hours of dark before i chop

Yea you do have to complete a grow log on the "put up or shut up" section before your allowed access to message members and post on the real forum with access to the market place by capulator... my buddy just picked up 3x 10 packs we gonna trade cuts ...
