Already done.....;-) I think I worry too much lol, I was just wondering how everyone else checks the P.H. of there soil
I think you do too ;) You don't feed chemical fertilizers and your in good soil...that's the only reason I say you shouldn't worry too much about it...but in the past I've done the runoff test and used probes...it never...not even once...helped me solve any issues...

Good morning all....

The girls are looking sweet Bak!!

MD... How accurate do you think your ph probe is? Mine has colored areas for each number but I have no idea if the needle being right over the number is correct or if the beggining of the color area is that number.. You understand what I am saying?

Other than that. comparing run off to soupy soil with the probe I get two completely different readings and would lean towards the soup sample.

I have NO idea...That is precisely why I don't bother anymore...too much room for error and too much guesswork involved...usually pH issues come to be from what we put into the soil. So I'm trying to be more aware of what I put in my pots :)

Cool.

I jab mine in the soil every now and then and it's always at what I believe is 6.4-6.6 My soil used to show 5.5....

pH adjustment. What's that?? Lol j/k. Just so much easier to grow when you dont have that complicated shit jacking up your style.

Sunshine Mix #4 + General Organic + good genetics and a little love = amazing tree.

Okay this may be a newb questions, What is the best way to test the P.H. of your soil? I heard just testing the runoff wasn't that accurate? How do you test your soil's P.H.
I don't bother.
I just PH my water down to about 6.6-6.8, (only because I know it comes out at 8.0) unless I'm giving Big Bloom and/ or Tiger Bloom, because I heard FF drops PH.
I only use an aquarium test kit so I wouldn't really be able to tell after nutes, but as you see, I have no problems.

Its funny the first bag FFOF soil I had no problems with the P.H. but the last bag I had the P.H. runoff was very low like 5.5, So I added some dolomite lime and everything was fine, It just seems strange one bag of FFOF soil the P.H. was fine and the other one had problems. I think I might go with the Sunshine mix like Stew next time

Either way, you should not notice any significant difference on your grow. Just make sure you keep your 600w at @24" or your 400 at 18" and rotate your girls in a circular motion every feeding. Finishing up my last tent for the year in sub zero temps with heaters in there (lol). Sour Diesel x skunk for me today! Peace...
