room is pretty much done as of yesterday, enough so that I planted my seeds in rockwool last night. and the journey begins, wish me luck. Think the hardest part will be learning how to level the ph and using nutes properly.

I have 2 GH waterfarms, how much nutes will I approximately use in 1 grow cycle using lucas formula? want to know if I bought enough. I have a gallon of each. and quart of mag/cal just in case I see difficeincies.

believe I have read every post on that thread, I do not see anything that states the amount I will be using between rez changes. without looking back which I will do before I start to feed. Say I use 8ml and 16ml of micro and bloom per gallon ON REZ changes. that I can use to calculate how much I will use up taking into account 4 gallon containers and changing rez every 2 weeks. what I don't see listed and cannot calculate or guess because I have no experience is how much of the nutes I will use extra in between rez changes in just topping off the rez and I do not want to go to a local shop to pick up more nutes if I run out. I know what I am trying to ask but don't know if im making sense.

You need to test your pH and PPM. that is how you will know how much you will need.
It will change depending on the water pH and PPM.
Not everyone uses the same amounts so sometimes it's not as easy as getting someone elses dosages.
you understand?

You will need to correct you water's levels as needed.
The plants will have an extreme effect on the levels as well.
As they take in nutrients, they will lover your PPM levels.

ok now going over that post again without having to have all the other things rattling around in my head at the same time. (installing gfci, proper venting, hanging door, sound reduction, general carpentry, etc.). looks like maybe I missed something.
from that post.

There are two ways to work with this formula:

1. Top off the reservoir daily using a pH corrected water solution as required to maintain full reservoir level. After adding back an amount of water equal to the amount of your reservoir capacity you should change the reservoir and put in fresh solution.

2. Top off the reservoir daily using a pH corrected 100% strength nutrient solution as required to maintain full reservoir level. Continue to use this nutrient solution without dumping the tank unless the PPM rises above acceptable levels.

so #1 I don't have to worry about adding nutes, just ph corrected water, so no additional nutes added until rez change.
#2 means I don't change rez unless I screw up and exceed ppm.

so there is no real additional nutes needed really, is that right?

I don't see that first one keeping correct PPM levels. Many deficiencies would result.
IMO. I don't run Hydro. and I don't use synthetics. lol...

I keep it simple and have GREAT results. Organics and Sunshine Mix #4(No-Burn Formula)

Post up your questions in the Hydroponics forum. You will get better answers there. If you need a link to it let me know. :)

You don't have to. I was just suggesting it since they run hydro. Dank may have some info for you. but i'm pretty sure he's a soil grower too.

I visit the indoor growing forum, hydro section, and others. but from what I have seen. if you ask a question here (which Dank has said is ok to ask anything). it gets answered usually quickly and people are willing to explain further. If you ask in other sections half the people babble stuff and I must figure out with my limited knowledge if its right or just babble. its just easier here and I feel more confident of the answers I get on specifics.
I mean look, you must be tired from trying to take over the world, but you still took time to try and answer me. I would have to wait days and days for the amount of feedback I got in just 20 mins.

lol... I understand. I know a few growers who come in here know about hydro. Maybe SOMEBEECH will pop in if he see's me talking about him. :)
He know's about the Lucas Formula. BEECH?? You online?
