Dangers of slow release potting soil

I recently made another mistake preparing for my first grow and bought potting soil with slow release fertilizer. It's not miracle gro which I've read plenty of negative reviews for MJ growing; it's called Alltreat Premium Potting Soil.
I have no idea what the n-p-k of miracle gro soils people on here condemn so much, but this soil is at 0.08-0.24-0.08 (which I thought might be low enough to not be much of a factor) and the liquid nutes I have are 4-3-3. Is it worth a shot to try and grow at least one plant in this stuff? And what would I do during the flowering stage?

By the way I only grabbed this crap because it was the only bag small enough for me to survive the walk 4km home with.

0.12% ammoniacal nitrogen
0.09% nitrate nitrogen

So it seems your soil and miracle grow can both be argued that they wont do much to hurt seedlings or your plants.

Ahh damn.. the percentages are just as low and even have better nitrogen than what I've bought, so it's likely less favourable than miracle gro.

Case closed I guess. I'll return the slow release soil and choose more carefully next time.

Just get something to cut it with. Couple small bags of seed starter or potting soil with no nutes. Beats carrying it back.

You mean like mix it with other soil to dilute it? Unless there's some way I can flush all of the nutrients out I don't want to take any chances with this time release crap; these seeds MUST succeed as I haven't smoked for nearly four months! ^ ^

If the snow holds off I'll just tie it to my bicycle and pedal it back.
