Damping off?

Hey team, Merry Christmas

2 of my seedling seem to be damping off. Was just curious why only 2 would when the other 10 were in the exact same conditions with the same soil?

I packed soil around them as they seem to be rooting just above where they collapsed. Will they survive or am I just wasting my time? Also are the others still at risk of getting it?

That doesn’t even seem like “damping off” more like root rot stem rot. Damping off, in my understanding affects just breaking the soil and young seedlings. Regardless it’s all fungal in nature. Focus on that in treating or preventing this type of thing. More airflow, warmer temps/lower humidity, and watering practice, including keep plants dry…. And what’s your medium??
