Daisy chaining 110v led and plugging into 220v outlet

I'm looking into switching up to some johnson cx6's or cx9's soon. Im currently running my hps ballasts on 220. Which brings me to the question... (i know the led lights say theyre for 110v) If you were to daisy chain 2 lights together would you beable to safely plug the light into a 220 outlet with out burning the lights or wire? And by plugging the lights into a 220 outlet i would be pulling less amps right?

Ive done this unknowingly in the past. My wife was helping me re set up the veg room after a deep clean. She plugged in our daisy chaied t5s into the 220 box. Later in the year when breaking the room down to clean it again i blew the last t5 when i unplugged the second to last light from it.

You'll have to check with Johnson. If the lamp drivers support 220 then you're good to go with one lamp or two, but chaining 2 lamps together isn't going to affect the result.

I believe according to info that it can be plugged into 220 volt the wattage was taken at 120 volt

Ok good to know. I wasnt sure if this was common knowledge to the led guys.

Thanks for the response victor. I was looking at the voltage range on the bottom too. I think it will work too. But im not confident enough to possibly blow up the 1000 dollar light


I emailed johnson and they replied in less than 2 hours... they said "their lights can handle 220 no problem." Hoepfully ill be able to get my new lights before i start my next indoor grow.

Yes all of our lights are 220 compatible.

Bc blonde looks like it should be stronger but that price point is just too high for me. Almost 2k for one bc blonde light is too much for me. Id rather get 3 cx-16's for a few hundred dollars more than 2 bc blonde lights.
