I attribute the lighting as the cause for your buds inability to pack on mass. CFL's do not produce enough red spectrum light. Red spectrum light is very important when it comes to the flowering stage. It is pretty common for growers who opt to use an alternative means to experience lower yields and diminished quality in regards to their buds.

All said and done, get an HPS.

Ok not to sound like a dick or anything, but man if you don't think CFL's can produce thick, dense fat ass potent nugs then YOU need to stop by my journal to see that you are wrong!.. You just have to know how to use them. And the OP is using HPS anyway if you didn't see it.

Actually according to the research I've done you are incorrect sir. You get more lumesn per watt using the 26 watt CFL's. They are more efficient than the 42 watt lights, just a little FYI. I can prove it to you if you don't believe me.......... BUT HE'S USING HPS.....

Update tomorrow.

I just harvested my Afgani Kush and it turned out awesome and my first run ever in a 2 by 4 tent with a 400 wat nextgen ballast, got 7 oz total for the first run

Did u top or LST or something? One of my plants was LST'd and the other was 12/12 from seed..

Both are under a 250w HPS

pretty sick man. I'm doing almost the same thing except all 12/12 from seed and also with a 150 watt HPS (just like you. haha i read the previous guys fighting over lighting... idiots). just to clarify, are you LSTing the 12/12 at all? I'm thinking about doing it to mine, its been 2 weeks and not sign of sex yet but I figure I could wait until signs of sex to start LSTing.

The big Afghan is already harvested and drying.

I did not LST or train the 12/12 from seed in any way. I definitely should have though.. it would have exploded.

I'll try and put an update up on harvest.
