I guess the gurus wait for the 80 cri version!
I planned to buy some because of the high bin but I saw some of the gurus talk about it and if I remenber correctly they said they will wait for 80cri to be available!

i have 4 of them waiting for me at the postoffice.
could be that the extra 7% in lumen vs the 80CRI, is in almost useless green spectrum. don't know. and they are high stepping, could be that all 4 of them show a different colorhue.
Will give them a try @1,05 A ,for a litte veg project.

I am interested in these cxb3590 4000k db 70 cri as well.
from the graphs I have seen, the 4000k CD bin was outperforming the 3500k CD.
trying to find a comparison of the actual 70 cri....

I guess 4000ºk 80cri dd would be better when available...
But I do like to see someone using 70cri...some even use 90cri now for other wavelength...
So we will know soon if 80cri is really the best color rendering for cob!?!

@SupraSPL, sorry to drag you into this mate.. in another thread I read that you where looking into these. Any input to share for this specific cob?
I was considering running these 4000k for veg and 3500k cd for flower but I think perhaps the 4000k's output just beats up the 3500 as far as lumen output and spectral wavelength.

70 CRI will have more green, less red than 80 CRI
Luminous bins are measured in lumens (human perception of light) .. lumens favour green light over red light.
LER will favour the 80CRI over 70CRI, and counterbalance the *apparent* superior light output of the 70 CRI.
This is LUMENS vs PAR all over again ..
