cuttings in aerocloner- advice please!!

Well I got some cuttings today from a friend. They were cut, I got them home within 20 minutes, I cut the stem below a node, stripped that leaf downward to expose some of the inside of stem, clonex gel and into the cloner with 5.5-5.8 ph water and clonex solution. For some reason these cuttings are really droopy. I have done this the exact same way every other time and it has worked out fine. Is this normal for seedlings to droop a little from the shock going into an aerocloner? Thanks for the advice

also some people say that new cuttings need 24 hours of dark in the aero cloner, then use whatever light cycle you want. Can I give these guys 24 hours of darkness if they have already been under T5 light for a few hours??

ok sorry for all the post to my own post, but now Im thinking it might be too much light?? I have my bucket aero cloner under a 2 foot 4 bulb T5 light along with 2 cfl's. My light is about 4-6 inches above the top of the cuttings. Thanks again and please help me out!!!

well they would be fine with a single cfl a foot above the plants. Don't listen to me. My cloner isn't working for me. and I have no idea why.

What about trimming the cutting before putting into the cloner? It seems like some of these are drooping because they have a weak stem to support the foliage on the plants. I have cut the new growth at the top of the cutting because that was for sure weighing the plant down, along with clipping the fan leaves in half. Is it normal for the cutting to droop because of a small stem and lack of support because of it? If so, I put a fan on these so hopefully they will build some strength and start standing up again? What do you guys thnk????

trimming a cutting thats already in shock isnt going to help it....
if your sure your water is good and clean and ph'd correctly, my advice would be to:
give em 24 hours and see what happens.

cannabis is hard to kill from neglect, yet too much care seems to kill em quicker than anything else.

I use my aero cloner all the time. I have an 80 site and a 40 site, and I keep em fill ed constantly. I just cut 80 clones today and they were drooping an hour after I put them. but now they are all standing up and looking good. This happens everytime I cut clones. No need to worry.

Clones are experts at fooling you into thinking they aren't doing well.

Here's are my processes:

1: cut clones, dip in Clonex Gel, insert into aeroponic system running only pH'd RO water, get first roots within 8 days, roots are at least 2" long by day 10.

2: cut clones, dip in Clonex Gel, insert into rockwool cubes using only pH'd RO water, get first roots showing within 15-18 days, roots are slightly weaker and slower to grow.

I never get any drooping in the Aero boxes, only in the rockwool systems, but they always rebound. Assuming you're supplying them with what they need, clones can look weak up top while they are putting all their energy in to producing roots. They do not require strong lighting, circulation, etc. Just rooting gel and a week of 100% humidity....that's the recipe that has given me a 100% success rate for many years. Don't over think cloning - it's really quite simple.

the cuttings need lighting as soon as they go in, forget 24hrs of dark, you want them standing tall and erect? lights on, i dont know if you have a timer on your clone maching but sometimes its good to cycle the water, as for drooping if this happens to me i would give the stem a re cut and/or scrape the side of the stem, could be from lack of water, especailly in puny cuttings the and thin stem not enough water maybe reaching
