Cuttings help

Do you have to root cutting inside under a light? e.g CFL or LED? I tried a while ago outside in a small container with holes but they didnt root, oddly enough they didnt die tho, if you can root them outside can someone please give me some pointers? cheers

they like humidity so just make a cut, then cut the stem under water say in a bowl, dip in clonex and put into some rockwool spray inside w water and seal in a coke bottle with tape put under 24hour small cfl, and a few days later you will have roots

If the original didnt die, that means its still trying to make roots. It takes a bit.

Get yourself a humidity dome and a heating mat. You can buy a combo online for about $40, and I didnt shop around for the cheapest price. Take your cuttings, bigger thicker ones the better, and shave off some of the 'skin' near the bottom where the roots will come from. Dip in a cloning solution (I use clonex), and put in your medium. Dont skimp on the cloning solution either.

Once they are in their new home just put them in your dome, mist them, and close it up. Put the entire thing on the heating mat, and turn it on. Mist once in the morning and once at night, and make sure to keep the air holes on the dome lid shut. You want it misty and humid in there. Keep them misted for a week or two and you'll have roots. Some say it can take longer though, so be patient. If they arent dead, they are doing something.

*edit for derp grammar mistake.*
