Cutting fan leaves first week into flowering?

my babies are in their first week of flowering and I noticed that a lot of my lower growth wasn't getting nearly amount of light as my upper growth so I was wondering if I could cut some fan leaves to let some more light to the bottom or would that stress out the plant to much in flowering?

Do what you want. its your plant... you are about to start a great defoliation circus but dont put attention to that... trial and error rules above all... removing some fan leaves aint gonna hurt the plant

Oh no! Not this question again! I'll save this thread a ton of typing

Don't do it!

Do it!

It's bad for the plant!

It helps light penetrate and allows for better air flow so it's good for the plant!!!

The fan leaves are like solar panels, if you cut them off then you are taking away it's ability to feed itself!

They grow back

Etc etc for ever and ever until the end of time!:hump:

What he ^^ said.

This is a very hot button topic, with passionate feelings on both sides. Seriously, you might as well be asking whether to vote democratic or other.

Do some research and decide for yourself.

Do not touch those leaves, there is plenty of light getting to all of the plant, if they were 4' tall it would be a different story, but a plant that size it would do way way more harm than good. Trust me. Just let them be, don't trim anything at all.
