Cutting clones during flowering creating mutant plants

Anybody ever cut a clone about 3 weeks in flowering with buds already on for every hair to create a branch?

My last batch all my plants were mutants creating 1 leaf in of 5-9 and the buds grew really weird. Was growing in bubbleponics and I could have cut the plants after about 45 days. There was no growth the last couple weeks just was really busy so I had no time to harvest. The plants grew really dense and potent plants. No veg time and on average 15 grams per plant. Some were about an ounce but others were much lower.

Yeah, I've done it many times. Even rooted an actual 1" bud taken from a plant in the last week of flowering. I may even have pics somewhere.

yup, here it is. Look at that freaky bitch! It eventually grew out normally, as I recall....

swim did, then revegged it (obv.). The leaves had went from 5 or so blades each to 3, sometimes one. definately ruined the strain too. losing God Bud was a disaster.
I think he did it cuz of spider mites.
