Weird U mention this, I did this.. BUT I wouldnt do it this early.. not at all.. BAD IDEA..
What kind of set up u got?
as long as u got a light as close as u can without burning it up, all leaf should get plenty of lumens and wattage..
Im sure u use a fan too.. Its good to aim it to where it hits plant and light.. so then keeps temps around the plant that much lower.. You migh also be able to get plant even closer to light source..
Im using CFLs, and I have light directly ontop.. like only about 1 cm or so.. sometimes touching bulb.. Im using 6- 75W bulbs..
They get hot to the touch, but keeping a fan blowing on low close and near bulbs keeps buib temps cool to the touch..
temps never get above 85 F or 25 C, lights on 18/6
BUT once it gets bigger, and the under branches strat getting thick, and u get about 10 + or more nodes you could start to slowly remove a few here and there..
So your lower branches can get abit more light..
Here is my bush
https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/45384-seedling-pics-10-days-later-3.html#post627467, and I removed a shit load of leaves.. I only left the top 4+ newest leaves..
Everything else that was starting to get new growth I trimmed off all fan leaf.. THis is even including mt 4+ newest growth on my main cola.. This thing is bushing out all over, as u can see.. so I feel there was enough greenage on the side branches, and the larger leafs were just in the way...
Plant seems to be going fine.. Still growing strong.. You just have to remove only one set at a time at first..
Like first the dead leafs, or after u reach 10+ nodes maybe the under growth could use more light.
Then remove one or 2 sets.. As it bushes you will need to trim much more though..
