Hi guys/girls sorry if this is in the wrong section, I just bought around 500 quids worth of gear from a couple of online stores. Hydro tent, light etc. And a few of these boxes looked like theyd been tampered with. I was a little para but put it to the back of my mind until my ph meter arrived. It came in an envelope and there was no calibration fluid. When I contacted the seller about this he told me customs had taken it and he could send me some more. Also ordered some clay pebbles and the sack had a clean razor slice in the top. Is it safe for me to grow or have I just wasted all that money? Its all set up and ready to go.

Not sure what to do here, but I have heard over the interweb of one or two cases where people who bought seeds were raided shortly after receiving them. Since I gather you haven't bought any seeds, there is technically NO reason to suspect you are growing anything illegal. People can make ASSUMPTIONS all they like, but unless there is actually proof in the packages you are going to grow marijuana, then it could be for anything.
However some of us who know what the government is capable of, would be extra careful. Personally I would hold off for a month or two, or if possible set it up somewhere else safe, at least for now. I dont think ANY amount of advice is going to make it alright, however I would be more inclined to take the advice of long time members here.
I would pull it apart and at least wait a month before doing ANYTHING.

Its not illegal to own grow equipment. Did your seeds and gear order all come at the same time?
All ordered the same day, the only reason I didnt buy from the local grow shop is I was told there being watched by police.

Your beans may have gotten thru unnoticed ( im assiming you bought them from outside your country)
Cops in the uk are fuckers when it comes to grow shops. The cunts have a habit of sitting near them noting car reg plates..... like we're comminting a crime! Lol

I get all kinds of stuff from over seas not grow related and it has been opened a few times. This makes since because customs is checking for illegal stuff. The only time a letter is forwarded is if something illegal was discovered. Other wise how could they keep up with all these letters. All your gear is perfectly legal for growing tomatoes or any other plant or veg inside. The only illegal thing is the seeds. This is your only place for concerns but I'm sure you didn't order enough seeds to send red flags even if they did find them.imo

I try my best to never order from Europe. I mentioned the letter because a couple of years ago customs opened my package (a pipe) and when it was delivered there was a customs notice with it explaining why it had been opened. Maybe they don't do it anymore.
And seeds aren't illegal in the uk until you germinate them. Peace
There was no notice or anything. I was para to begin with when some of the packages looked as if theyd been opened and resealed. i wouldnt use the pebbles if they been opened,only takes a busy body to of contaminated them with something knowing what they where for,i had nutes opened once and threw them straight out i couldnt help but think some wanker would of tipped something in there,might just of been paranoia but better safe then sorry

In future try and buy from uk sites just to save u the headache. Charlies hydro on ebay are a good shop reasonable prices too. Theres loads of uk based online stores, ok you might pay a few more ££'s for stuff. But id rather that than those fucker having you freaked out every time.
