Custom Affordable Grow Cabs? +Rep for your opinion.

Ok so when I decided to grow I went online to buy a cab. I saw that the prices were insane in most cases and decided to DIY and had a great time with it. Well then it dawned on me that I want to turn it into a money making hobby. I figure that a $1000 box has damn near 100% profit margin. I have a small wood shop and some furniture building knowledge and thought that I could do what I enjoy doing while at the same time help out growers on a budget and make a few bucks. When I say a few bucks I mean literaly make like $100 off a custom turn key box w/ light and ventilation fans built out of glued and screwed 3/4" plywood Lined in reflective insulation and finished in your choice of colors. I would be making like $5-$7 an hour. So in your opinon if I could have a box as described above say 2x4x4 delivered to your house ready to grow for like $500-$600 would there be a market for that or do most of you DIY? If you DIY is cost a major factor? Would you have bought a cab ready to roll if the cost was less? I will +rep any response as I need your opinions. Keep in mind that I used scrap matierials for mine and my custom boxes would be wayyyyy nicer looking but would be similar in design.

Its a good idea, i have too thought about it... my opinion is that the grow tent is better than the boxes made out of wood and other materials because the tents are really cheap to make DIY style and also they are actually pretty cheap already built ... HTGsupply has a 56x56x76 tent that is lined with mylar and everything and its like 200 bucks ..
I do think there is a market for the custom made growboxes, however it is small.. and advertising would be difficult to say the less.

I would have to say if you can build a grow tent your self with the same or very close to the same results but for cheeper then go for it. Save your self the extra few bucks

Yeah but people that grow in a tent and people that grow in a box are 2 different animals. If you have people over alot you can't really set a tent up cuz if someone sees it they know what it's for. There is only 1 thing you do in a grow tent. The box could be anything.

true that. and with a grow box made mostly out of wood you can mox it to adjust air flow and such easer and still keep it looking stelth

I honestly think there is a market, if i didnt enjoy making boxes, i would definitly buy one if it was at the right price and i can vouch for many others that are in the same boat as me.
