It's Probably like any other jar just with a fancy name lol. As long as its nice and tight is what i always say

uh its not air tight, ther is a little bit of air exchange when lid is on

It is fine for curing...the trick is in the burping that you do !!!

I've been buying the old style Ball jars on ebay, I have mostly pint and half-pint sizes. They are the kind my grandmother used, with the rubber gasket and the locking bail. They're cheap, effective and pretty cool looking.

those are a waist of money to me.i buy a 12 pack of mason jars for like 7 bucks at walmart.i could fit like 2oz per jar give or take a lil.

i dont remember less than $20 im shur. as you can see i usually keep my dry in ther. jus runnin low at the moment..
