I have to say since I have been given them nothing but the R. O. water cal mag ➕ and uc roots. The girls seem to be doing much better. I have been seeing new growth.
You know I am not even sure what I did wrong to start with..
Temps in my rez are usually at 68 or below. My Ph was steady at around 5.8 to 6.1. I kept my ppm relatively low average 350. Added nutes in the order per manufacture. Not sure at all.
Just cant wait to get the skunk lab products hope it brings my girls back.

Hi Cruz,

As terry has said, organics. Anything that is organic in the system becomes a food source for pathogens. Both good and bad, when you brew the tea your dumping an army of good bacteria.that will out populate the bad. They also assit the plant in many ways with nutriant uptake and much more.

Il keep chiming in here, as I'm sure terry will. Happy new year to you both.

Ok just ordered the hydroponic system from Skunk Labs. As soon as the package gets here ill let you guys know how it goes.
The gist is that your plants need water soluble nutes, not organics, which would require other bacteria to convert the organic matter into water soluble form for your plants to uptake.
Long story short, use synthetics only for your dwc, at least until you've got a good grasp as to why they don't mix, and can make adjustments to use organics (if desired)

Edit: forgot to mention, UC roots and Clear rez aren't much different from one another (if at all)
and you can actually make your own UC Roots/clear rez for a few dollars. Read this: https://www.rollitup.org/t/make-2200-worth-of-clear-rez-for-4.423650/

Personally, I do 24 grams of pool shock in 1 gal of water for a stock solution. Apply every 3 days @ 1ml/gal

Heres a little update as to thier root health. So in order to avoid further damage on the 29th I manually cleaned my rdwc system down removed all water and nutes to the best of my ability. boiled my air stones, put everything back together refilled system with R.O. water 150 ppm of cal mag ➕ and 25ml of uc roots. My system is a total of ten gallons.
Last day or so I have been noticing that I have to put about a gallon of water back in my control buckets every other day. So they are drinking it up. They are steadily growing again and theres a night and day diffrence in the appearance of the roots.
I have included a before and after pic to show you guys the progress. Same plant alot of new root growth.
I do want to pick your brains on something. After the 4th node I topped all the plants (this was before the root problems) I want to remove some of the growth at the bottom of my plants should I wait till I have my nutes or do you think I'll be ok trimming them now?
Thanks guys so far i think we are heading in the right direction.

I added 1g 70% poolshock into 1gallon RO water. Then used 3ml a gallon. Does that sound OK?

I'd wait until you get them fully recovered.

The roots defiantly look much better. Have a look at that feed chart, its a little small but if you Google you can find a bugger version. It's skunk labs original feed chart.

I just checked the tracking number and it says package will be here tommorow. I'll be busy after work tomorrow.
So I like to take the weekends to work on projects in my "Lab" Sunday the house is all mine for like 5 hours. Me time.....
Anyways so I worked on some preventive maintenance today. My water temps usually stay below 70 as long as I am on top of my ice bottle changes. But ide like to keep them cooler longer I bought a water heater blanket divided it up added duct tape to clothe the open ends(the blanket is reflective material on the inner and outer layer sadwiching some insulation) and wrapped it around the buckets using foil tape and tie wraps.and I wrapped the hoses with pipe insulation. I only did 2 out of the 4 buckets and the control bucket. It took awhile to NEATLY wrap the blanket around all the house and lines coming in and out. Ill the the rest in a day or so.
I am happy with what I got and ill let you all know about the root assist and nutes manana.
here are a few pics of today.

Allright Got Skunk Labs Nute line up today suoer excited.
Started at week 3 veg schedule for the nutes.
I really like that I actually added the ml recommended instead of the guessing game I have been playing with other nutes.. After I followed the 3rd week feed I eneded up with a ppm of 250 and I adjusted the ph to 5.9.
I got the root assist tea brewing itll be ready in 48 hours and at that point I will add 1 to 2 oz per gallons. Mixed the silicate 7.8 and placed in a hydrogen peroxide bottle that was empty and attached skunk lab label. I also reboiled my air stones again.
Thanks to, Terry and gand3r and everyone else that chimed in.
I have big expectations
Side not the insultaion I installed is working awesome... put in a new frozen bottle and at 12pm... 7 hours later and the bottle was still partially frozen. So I am gonna call that project a success.

Roots are looking MUCH better! Glad things are looking up.

Someone else already replied too, but I would wait too. Let some vigorous growth go on before you mess with her too much!
