Current climatic conditions

Our humidity was lower today. When I came in at midnight from my walk I wasn't soaked in sweat. It got up into the mid 90's, but the heat index was barely 100F. Not too bad.

Hey injinii, hope all is well with you and yours. I was looking at the hurricane tracker and it seemed you are close to the incoming hurricane. Hoping the worst of it misses you.

Thanks for checking on me. Yes, we missed that one. I'm midway between Panama City, Tallahassee and Dothan AL.

It's raining. Barely more than a sprinkle so far, but this is the first drops of water to fall from the sky in a couple three weeks.

38 with a 10-20 mph wind, fall is over here.

That's what it's like here today and forecast for the next few days. 10 years ago this far north it would be -15C with 3 feet of snow on the ground this time of year. We've had about 4" so far and there's none left on the ground now. Global warming has it's benefits. ;)

Going outside to organize some stuff without my parka! :)

:peace:

The rain is gone. We got less than a tenth. Oh well. Tuesday and Wednesday look possible for rain. Luckily I have nothing growing but a few greens.

It's 60F with 91% humidity at 2130.

72F with steady rain at the moment. It's been raining a little over an hour. Two tenths so far with some heavier stuff an hour out. After that it's all day and most of the night of light rain. Then four days of highs in the low 60's and lows in the mid to low 40's.

Back by popular demand. Hey everybody. Today on the Sandhill it was windyAF. It's less windy, clear, 67F at 1930. Our high/low today was 81/37F. Yesterday morning there was a good frost on the car, spotty on the ground. I doubt there was any this morning because of the wind, but I didn't go outside until I made the run to pick up porkchops for lunch. The line of thunderstorms should come through about 0200. Chance of rain is 88% tonight, 4% tomorrow. Forecast high/low of 71/58F tomorrow.

It's been a cool day at the Sandhill. There was a slight frost on the car this morning at the riverhouse. Car thermometer said it was 39F. We got up to 55F and it's back down to 46F at 2045. Forecast low/high of 37/73F for tomorrow.

I got out and did a little more soil mixing this morning. Last week I had loaded all of the grow bags from the late season tomatoes and peppers in the back of the truck, now I need to deal with them before I use the truck. I think there was 18 seven gallon and 20 ten gallon bags. I'm about a third of the way through. I'm adding 3 gallons of new potting soil/peatmoss for every 5 gallons of used soil. Plus a cup and a half of amendments.

36 degree temperature swing from overnight low to afternoon high is a pretty big deal in Florida, yes?

Up here it's just another Thursday but y'all have a lot more humidity...
