Hey injinii, hope all is well with you and yours. I was looking at the hurricane tracker and it seemed you are close to the incoming hurricane. Hoping the worst of it misses you.Our humidity was lower today. When I came in at midnight from my walk I wasn't soaked in sweat. It got up into the mid 90's, but the heat index was barely 100F. Not too bad.
Thanks for checking on me. Yes, we missed that one. I'm midway between Panama City, Tallahassee and Dothan AL.Hey injinii, hope all is well with you and yours. I was looking at the hurricane tracker and it seemed you are close to the incoming hurricane. Hoping the worst of it misses you.
Gee, it's almost as cold here in Oregon as it is there.OK, who left the fridge door open? Wednesday and Thursday mornings are going to be in the 30's. Just so we are clear on this, I'm not ready for winter.
Today is the day I ran AC and heat. The heat won't kick in until later tonight, but if I had forgot to change it over, I would have had a rude awakening in the morning.23 before sunrise… it was like 80 the other day. This is that time of year when you run the heat and AC in one day.
38 with a 10-20 mph wind, fall is over here. It's raining. Barely more than a sprinkle so far, but this is the first drops of water to fall from the sky in a couple three weeks.

36 degree temperature swing from overnight low to afternoon high is a pretty big deal in Florida, yes? It's been a cool day at the Sandhill. There was a slight frost on the car this morning at the riverhouse. Car thermometer said it was 39F. We got up to 55F and it's back down to 46F at 2045. Forecast low/high of 37/73F for tomorrow.
I got out and did a little more soil mixing this morning. Last week I had loaded all of the grow bags from the late season tomatoes and peppers in the back of the truck, now I need to deal with them before I use the truck. I think there was 18 seven gallon and 20 ten gallon bags. I'm about a third of the way through. I'm adding 3 gallons of new potting soil/peatmoss for every 5 gallons of used soil. Plus a cup and a half of amendments.
