so i chopped down my baby trimmed , hang her upside down till she dried out then i cut the buds off. almost at my second week curing, still no smell but when i press on the tip of one bud i get this foul good sour d smell that im DIEING to smell off all the buds lol. right now i burp the jars for 20-30 min a day then cover it. anyone have any idea or how long i should let it cure for more?

Maybe that strain doesn't smell up as quick but honestly every strain I've done begins to get it's smell back after 2-3 days in cure.
For me it's always been it starts to get stinky about 5 weeks in flower until harvest, sometimes smells die down a bit in last week or so but not all. When she gets chopped and trimmed she is stinky, mostly from moving buds around. About 2 days into dry they begin to smell like hay/grass, then when mostly dry they don't have much of a smell. But just 2-3 days after jarring up and burping every 6-8 hours they get their small back.
Don't know why it's taking so long for yours to get their smell back.

At the second week of curing the grass becomes completely psychoactive. Once you get to the third week you dont have to burp it as much.
when i went to burp the jars i decided to take out all the buds and spread them out and i touched a stem and its still bendable, dont snap yet. Means it still not dry right? i hung them upside down until the buds were crispy after 3 days hanging in 75-80 degree with room circulation then cut them to peices and tossed them in jars.

Yes, when it gets below 55% RH in the jar the cure is over.
It should start at about 65-75% RH, and you gradually burp until 60% RH (at that point, you should not need to burp).
If above 70% RH get the buds out for more drying before jarring again.
Yeah... you do need a hygrometer that fits in your jars. If you don't have it, continue guessing.

think I have to cure it a bit longer. theres a lot of hairs on them crystals you can see a lot of them but you need to look very close. Boutta take pics

I have to leave my jars open for 20 min befor the smell starts coming out. Humidity is 63% most of my cure. Give that a try. Or pull a bud out and let it sit. Might pop for you after air gets to it.
i know they started out at a high percentage ( humidity ) the last 2 weeks ive been burping every day for 5-10 min. during this week i took them all out and spread it out till I found a humidity reader then put them all back in jar with meter and let it sit in there for a couple hours and it said around 56 57%.

might just not be a smelly phenotype? Or did you handle them roughly when trimming and putting them up to dry? Just about every strain I grow smells to high heaven after 2 weeks in jars, but I do pick strains for their flavor and smell....
I dry my buds on fishing line in my smaller vegg tent up top away from the T5 lights where the temp stays in the 70s and humidity is always in the 55-65% range. Takes 3-4 days for my smaller buds and 4-6 days for my big tops. Then i use Quart mason jars for the cure -- burp em twice daily for the first week and then daily the second week....by then they are smelling good and ready to smoke and the RH is about 58%. I love bud that is cured for 5-6 weeks the best though. That is prime curing time right there; rock hard buds that will knock your damn socks off with smell, taste, and potency.

yea lol ive been smoking all the small stems at the bottom that grew very little bud. taste like ehhh because i didnt jar them and most of the buds still on stem lol just in a paper bag . i need to trim next time i go from veg/flower save me a lot of bs. learned a hella lot this time though, the way i see it, it can only get better lol.
