I picked a nug to try out my curing process and turnout. I air dried for 2 days and it was farily dry to the touch then was put into an air tight container to cure. Its been there for about 1 day now but when i opened to burb it, it smells awful and and is really moist again. Is this normal. Again this is my first time trying to cure so idk what its supposed to be like/smell/feel when curing..

If it is extreemly wet then you need to leave the lid off the jar. Just keep an eye on it and burp dry it till it gets to the dryness that you want. If it is wet then let it dry again and repeat. If the temps fluxuate alot where you are at you may get moisture in the jar so keep an eye on that also. And it should be in the dark while cureing out.

Generally curing allows the moisture too spread out evenly due too the fact of it beig contained in an air tight container. When you burp it, it is allowing the moisture contained too escape. Then closing it again begins the same process. Spreading the moisture content event until you ed up with fresh, crisp, High as a kite weed.
Unfortunately regarding the smell, I have no idea. Pictures might help? There is also a good thread on here explaining the different moulds and which symptoms. Ifthe smell isn't weed then I believe you may have just encountered mould. Also air drying usually takes around 5 days...

the way i dry and cure is to hang it for 3-4 days , 3-4 days in a paper bag, and then into a glass jar. the smell just keeps getting betterand after a month it is perfectlily cured and smokes great

Try hang drying it for a bit longer. What is the size of the bud roughly? Also, bend the stem. Does it bend Or snap?

2 days to dry is really fast. You may want to sloow things down some. What was the temp and humidity that you dried in two days with? I would think that you'd pretty much need an oven to do it that fast.

yeah maybe I rushed it and should hang it back up...the temp stays around 60F and idk about the humidity...the bud is not very big i would say about a gram or 2. What I was most worried about is the smell.
