Curing odors

When chopped these plants are serious PINE smell, but when cured in glass jars they take on a more spice smell. Is that normal? Is there a way to retain the PINE smell I get while growing and after being chopped?

I get all types of weird smells from mine. During most of flower, no real smell. For about 2 weeks of it though, maybe around week 4-5 of flowering my plants smell up the entire house if I let them, smelling of the freshest bud ever.

When I chop they smell like oranges. While I'm curing they smell like some other type of fruit.

I had the same problem with the plant I grew in my crested gecko tank was small and smelled of pine...then cured and smelled like hay....

I wish I knew how to dry/cure this and retain the same smell it has when it's growing. The whole grow it's smelled of a really nice pine, but once it cures, it smells of some type of fruity spice. Aggravating! Still does the trick and I guess that is what is most impt but I also like for it to have a nice pleasant smell. I wish someone knew the answer to this question.
