Curing Does What?

First off it is not a matter of not knowing something so someone instead C&P’s the information, it is just faster and simpler and gives far more complete of a response to C&P factual proven information instead of typing some short incomplete answer someone words themselves.

Another answer to that would be over the many years I have spent on numerous similar sites I have found that very many people refuse to accept things when put in a short version someone words themself and many people tend to argue the information but when given a full detailed explanation from a valid reliable source more people tend to believe it, accept it and not bother to attempt to argue against it.

So instead of putting something into your own words (meaning the poster and not you) that is detailed and because of that also long it is vastly easier and quicker to C&P the full information than it is to type it all out yourself.

What could be added to that is since a handful of questions are asked here almost every single day and sometimes over periods of time they will be asked every single day and even worse on some days they will be asked two, three or more times having a ready answer to C&P only makes sense.

Well it is that or just ignore them and leave them to those who will not tell them all there is to know and all else they might need to know that does go hand in hand with what they asked and instead not bother to explain why something works or happens because they prefer to word something themselves that only take maybe three or five lines to attempt to explain what actually would take many, many more lines to adequately explain in full.

get off my nuts. thanks. :bigjoint:

brick top, fdd2blk, you guys are my heroes, lets not argue over the sake of this "lame question" and what good copy and pasted information could be. the fact is it would have been best for him to do his own research and do a little thinking before expecting an in depth answer to that short question.

in my opinion a link would have sufficed, and then end of conversation

this is NOT a lame question. rather a VERY important one. nice way to help out.

when someone has an attitude and you answer it with an attitude you are just as bad as the next guy. the ol' "2 wrongs don't make a right" thing.

so where's the link????

i put "lame question" in quotation marks because i was quoting the way someone else phrased it, i think its a decent question, but has already been asked, and isnt hard information to find

so what, we are here to answer questions. :blsmoke:

"use the search feature" is the lamest answer ever. to me it screams "i don't know". :bigjoint:
or "i'm too good to tell you". :(

i come here to help. if that means answering the same question 50,000 times, then so be it. it's why i come here. :wall: bongsmiliebongsmilie

am i making sense, or just being a dick again? =/

this forum rocks! i dig what im hearing

i have two questions

how do i give rep points?

are we doing something wrong in our cure process?

first we harvest and manicure in one step. the stripped leaf is screened and sold cheap. then the buds are hung upside down in sturdy sealed cardboard boxes each with a little air space. then into the cool dry basement for at least three months. then vacuum sealed in 1/4 lbs bags. it almost allways takes at least 2 1/2 months to get thoroughly dry enough to seal in bags.
any thoughts?

that's the "real way" to do it. i'm gonna click the little "scale" icon above your join date (top right corner of your post) and give you some rep. :bigjoint:

i answer allot of questions too, its a good pass time, but i also believe people should do their own research, i mean its how we learned what we know. i dont mind helping out 1 little bit, and i appreciate someone who has done their homework and just needs a little help clarifying something

i agree that "use the search feature" is a terrible answer to a question, partially because it means they are lazy or dont know, partially because it comes up with pages of unrelated threads

you are making perfect sense, fdd, and also being a bit of a dick because i wasnt being argumentative at all, just making a few small points

oh and to landracer, you give out reps by clicking on the scale icon at the top of someones posts

Wait I have a dumb question!~ lol

Isn't gravity the only reason we hang our buds upside down? I mean if it were easier to hang them right-side up, the outcome would be the same?

i allways thought helping people (or tryin to) weather they appreciate you or not was a human obligation

gravity draws the moisture out id assume, but the buds lying on their sides would still be effected by gravity, would they not?

youd be surprised, more often than not its human nature to be a prick instead of helpful

i hang mine simply because they dry the best that way. it's mostly visual appeal. if you lay them down they smash themselves. you get bud with flat spots. (trick to drying if you have fluffy buds  ) if you stood it right side up it would flop over. hanging is the most practical. :blsmoke:

yeah it's easiest, and the buds don't get crushed, but if we had negative gravity on earth - that pulled everything skyward - we'd have to anchor them - at the base - just to keep the buds from launching skyward - but theoretically the quality wouldn't suffer from hanging them right-side up?

I'm just being funny :dunce:
