Cure or wait?

I'm currently on day 4 of drying in a bathroom in the dark at 22C with RH between 50-60 and I've gone from 433g down to 111g(around 75%)....they're dry and spongy. Are they ready for the jar?

They dried too fast. Grow gooey slow burning bud with more oily goodness next time.. A won't dry out so fast, and as a bonus it'll get you way higher and taste so good you won't be able to stop yourself from eating half your stash.

Its not 'genetical' or environmental. Its the fact you used bottled products instead of fertile soil loaded with the right microbes.

Your bud looks ready to jar to me, but without being able to touch I couldn't say for sure. I'd rather jar a little sooner than later because if they over dry that totally sucks. You can always take them back out of the jars if humidity gets over 65.

From the looks of it, I would say a few things are going on here. It appears that you wet trimmed it, which will drastically speed up the drying process. It also looks to me like you might have harvested early. The stigma are all sticking straight out of the buds still, which often means the buds hadn't been allowed to swell properly. This will mean the buds havn't reached their potential density and will dry faster.

Drying faster is not what you want. You want a nice slow dry. Lowering your temps will slow the process, as will leaving the trim material on until after the buds are dried.

I use paper bags to help balance the bud moisture content after my main drying process is done. Its tough to say how yours will turn out at this point but that is what I would do with mine. It looks like the stems still have a lot of moisture in them, so you might get lucky if you bag them up and let them balance back out. Then in a day or 3 snip them off the stems and leave them in the paper bags until they are perfect to smoke. Once they break up well and burn properly they can be final trimmed and jarred for storage, its that simple.
