crowded

My plant is 5 wks old. The leaves are growing nicely. But the plant hasn't gotten any taller in 1 1/2. It's about 6" tall. It looks like the leaves are getting crowded together. Is there anything wrong? Or will it just be short and bushy? And won't that keep some of the lower leaves from getting light? It is now in 1 1/2 gal pot. I water it every 4 days. I'm using 2 cfls 65w & 27w 2" over plant. I used a fish emulsion fert. 2wks ago. for the 1st nute. Was told to nute every 5 wks. Any input? Thanks

As long as it's healthy perhaps it's just typical of the strain that you are growing. Do you ph test? Have you flushed with plain water? What do you use for reflectivity for the lower leaves?

Haven't done a ph test yet. Not using a reflector. Was thinking about using aluminum foil. Would that work ok? When looking at the plant, it seems all the leaves are getting light for now. Using distilled for watering.

flat white paint works better for reflecting light than tin foil. do not use tin foil.

I lined my entire grow room (2X2X4) with mylar, to include the ceiling and the floor.

The space I have it in is white. The walls are about 1' away from the plant on 3 sides. Today I noticed a couple of real light yellowish spikes growing out of the top. Doesn't look like the rest of the leaves when they first started comming up. Could a plant start flowering at 6" ? I'm still on 18/6. I guess I'll waite a couple of days to see what they turn into. If they are not leaves, should I go to 12/12 or waite for the plant to grow a few more inches ?
