Hello I am a somewhat advanced Medical grower and have decided I would like to create a strain and it looks like the perfect place to get some answers
First off I'm looking at combining my Gorilla Glue number for direct clone with my Bruce Banner number 3 direct clone so first off my question is are those two compatible
My second question is I will be using silver water too change the sex of one of the plants to create female pollen so that the seeds will be symbolized if this works the way I have seen how likely is it that my plant that I create will herm easily?
If so what's a good way to combine these two female plants without The Offspring herming easily.
Any other useful information would be greatly appreciated as I have never done this before.
I also have another really good strain Liberty Hayes if anyone thinks that would be a better match with Gorilla Glue or Bruce Banner
Oh and one more question what is the correct time to harvest pollen or at least a general time frame.

Thanks in advance for any help and assistance

okay first off, welcome! I hope your project turns out well for you.

Now, your first question... are they compatible? in what regards? will they produce viable offspring for you to grow out and make selections upon? Yes. Will they make super bud? No one knows and if they did, wouldn't tell you.

Colloidal Silver not silver water.

The seeds will be sybolized? im guessing you mean femenized right?

No this method will not create herms because when you alter a female with Colloidal silver to produce Male sexual organs you are only inhibiting the production of ethelyne in the plant (girl hormones) forcing it to go male, however, its genotype is still that of a female XX vs. XY (for males) so the XX crossed to another female XX can only produce more XX (females) and thats how femming works. https://femaleseeds.wordpress.com/tag/how-to-use-colloidal-silver-to-produce-feminized-seeds/

youll start to be able to collect pollen after the balls form and start dropping, this fluctuates wildly depending on ppm of the CS solution, strain, individual etc,.

IDK what else you want to know so if you want more info you have to be more specific, hope this helps.

So you want to take two female plants of two different strains and use silver on one branch to make the pollen sacs correct? Then you want to use that pollen to cross the plants. Yes you can do this, but you will end up with a hermaphrodite in the genes and you will never know if it peeks its head up later on. Unfortunate though you are already done with the flowering so this isn't going to work right now as you will have to cut off a shoot on each plant and clone it again as it will be easier then forcing the re-veg. The simplest way to start would be to get a male that is from the same lineage of the plants you have and use that male to pollinate the two new clones you make and then go from there to backcross them and square them.

As far as my research has gone this statement is false.

To make proper feminized seeds in a line that has been bred to have no herm's, a breeder stresses the plants out to see if they are prone to herming. If the strain does not then they know the strain does not have herm tendencies and then they go ahead and force herm with colloidal silver.

Pretty sure this was covered in the breeders bible or some other reputable source.
