So I put a good bit of trim three sticks of butter and water in a crock pot on low for ten hours stirred occasionally cheese clothed it put it in a bowl and in the fridge overnight and it’s almost been 24 hours and still no solids floating? Not enough butter? Is it ruined?

Did you use unsalted butter and clarify it before use? Not sure if that would make that happen but with salt in who knows.

As long as there was water in it the whole time it was being heated the you can't burn the butter.

I do my cocobudder in a little crock pot with no water but mind the temp well. You can read about it if you want in the link in my sig.

Deff didn’t even check the butter I just know it was 15% fat and the higher the fat the better is what I seen

Butter is 80%+ fat. You are looking at the dietary % that one serving supplies for daily fat intake. You need to see what size the serving is, (mine is 10g/2tsp), then the weight of fat on the left where you read percent on the right. Mine says 8g out of 10g so it's 80% fat. Dairyland salted butter but good unsalted is more like 90%+ fat.

Other than the salt I have no idea why the butter didn't all float to the top and solidify. The few times I've made it with unsalted it worked great.

I replaced my crock pot with a NuWave DIC. It has adjustable temperature settings as well as a built in timer

One of the very best kitchen products I ever bought

Not sure what that cryptic response means but whatever...it's a simple and hassle free way of producing excellent butter.
