Critique My Set UP..Got a couple of THC SPROUTS!!

My tent is 2'8x2'8x5'2 and I have a 400watt HPS with a cool-tube in there, but am still using cfls for some reason (scared I guess) Pics at the bottom.

I have 5 26watt daylight cfls over 5 sprouts.. 2 of the sprouts already have they're set of true leaves. The other 3 just have the began to sprout.

I have a cfl over each of them. Each dangling about 1-2 inches above the sprouts. I have a fan circulating air in the room, with a inline fan sucking out 170cfm of air.


I DO NOT have an intake fan yet.
Temps are at 79F.

I also have FF nutes, and a ph tester but for some reason my tap water gets to like 8.3 ph so I reduce it with Lime juice..(is this ok?)

I HAVE A HPS BUT DO NOT WANT TO BURN THESE BABIES SOO WHEN SHOULD I SLAP IT ON THERE?

I have some bag-seed germinating right now and only plan to place 1 or 2 of them in the tent.

How does the set up look? and what should I do differently?
What size containers should I switch to, because they are in little plastic cups for the time being?

Am i doing this stuff right guys?

plastic cups are fine thats what i use to start myn up too they are the ones with the red outside rite?? but everything looks good just one question how far away are your lights from your plants they look to far away from here you want them 1-3 inches away depending on how many watts they are and depending on your temp and as far as the HPS goes THROW IT IN THERE man dont worry just dont put it too close or ask someone else that knows more about HPS i personally dont know too much about them

oops sorry miss read they are nice and close sorry bout that haha but get some more advice on that HPS and throw her in there id love to see some new growth pics from your hps....happy tokin bro

So what kind of tent is that, and how do you like it. Wouldn't mind some info I have been looking at them but have heard things about them killing your plants (white walled pvc ones, not yours) ??

Its a darkroom tent and pvc fucks with your plants... no pvc in this one

Anyways does the setup look good? can I put the hps on in a couple of days?

The biggest thing to consider when you fire up the HPS is the heat. Is it a 400, a 600? I would wait til the 2nd week to start that up but it's just me being cautious. After another week switch to a bigger container hopefully the one you wanna finish in to lessen stress by changing pots too much. Otherwise you're doing fine for the first stage by my thinking keep it up
