i live over on the east coast also.. I got lucky an found a nice not to far away hydro shop, it's got some stuff but it's small. And yeah online has dope deals, but your waiting and waiting.. Now adays you don't know if some one is gonna steal your money also..

Its cool man.. Lol just no way to get genetics, besides ordering... Idk if I can trust it or not, I don't wanna be on any list for that kinda stuff... Paranoid right? I already have fox farms complete line up an Calimagic all that good stuff for soil, too much money upfront for nutes right now . I kinda wanna do a Dixie cup with a aid pump, just for fun.

Ok so I've decided I'm going to take a little break from RIU...well, sort of.

I'm going to begin reading subcools posts from day one. This is something I've wanted to do for some time now and I'm finally just going to sit down and do it. Not going to look at anything else until I'm done!

So yeah...ill be back after this small journey. Hopefully armed with a lot more knowledge

Well as awesome as that was, I needed a break. Didn't realize exactly what I was getting into!

So far it has been a good refresher course and a little crash course on organics and genetics. Really inspiring me to start doing my own thing as Ive wanted to do for years now.

Im going to continue to read through it all over the next few days. Its really not thatttt much. Ive saved much more to read for exams/school before, in less time too

Any who, going to start flushing tomorrow probably. Still on the fence about it. Everything looks scrumptious but I know its best to wait.





Cant really take any good pics so I plan to just do another update in a few weeks when I harvest. Until then, stay green friends

I haven't seen much of you on the forums...but now I know what you've been up to. I totally relate to taking a break. there's lots of repetitious posting and frustrations, and a little vacation is good.

Just watched the vid of the Emerald Cup 2013. Subcool seems like a knowledgeable breeder. I'm a DJ Short Fan myself...we like the same kind of smoke.

Thanks bro. I actually watched the same video. Sat down with a jar of Flo and my bubbler and watched the whole thing. So informative(assuming we're talking about the same 1:21 video). Just now realizing I was smoking flo while watching it, quite the coincidence.

I read DJ Short's book back in '08. Been a fan of his since. Such a knowledgeable, experienced grower. Sub, Ringo, and Leo are all cool as well. I like their mentalities.


On another note, how 'bout those broncos? Superbowl here we come!

Can't focus so not really too happy with it but it was only $40 and serves its purpose well. If you have an extra $20 to spend on one(common pocket ones are about $15) I would recommend it. It is nice to be able to plug it into your computer and use your monitor to view instead of putting your eye up to scope itself(best way I can describe it, Im stoned). Plus who doesn't like some mediocre trichome pics from time to time

Are you growing Flo or was that from a dispensary? DJ Short's son advertises clones of his Dad's strains over in Eugene. I'm working toward getting legal here in Oregon so I can run over and buy some. I'm a sativa sort of guy.

Loved the grow and sorry I didn't discover it earlier. I'm on page 4 now. Nice shots and nice plants. Hope the new room works out great.

I loved every second of it. May even have to re-watch it. The stuff on testing terpenes and potency from tissue samples amazes me. Do you happen to know the name of the testing they were referring to? Was it GCG(General column genomic or something like that)? I know there is a facility that does that kind of test here in CO and would like to take full advantage of it. Especially in the next few months when I start the seeds I've been saving up.

The flo I was smoking was from River Rock, pretty nice dispensary down in Denver. A buddy of mine is growing a different cut that I actually think is better(may even be the same one) and he says I can get a clone so pretty excited about that. Flo has become one of my favorites lately. Definitely would like to grow it in the future. Love the flavor and the high.

Wish I could make the trip out your way for some genetics. Maybe some day but right now not realistic. Hopefully by then everything over there will be here

Whats up guys, im f***ing drained right now(sleep dep like a MF) About to get to work, hopefully today will be the last day and Ill have some pics up around midnight. If not tomorrow.

This will be the second to last update so hopefully Ill be able to manage some decent snapshots! Smoke on peeps!

BTW, smoked some of the deathstar before work yesterday. Lets just say one bong hit had me 'too high'. The flavor was really complex, really pungent though and left a great after taste. The 3 different deathstar phenos Ive tried so far were awesome but the #1(one that got me too high!) takes the cake. #2 almost reminds me of super lemon haze but a little less lemon-pledgey if that makes sense. The #3 everyone thinks tastes like Jack(myself included). Not even trying to toot my own horn but this is some of the best herb ive ever had the pleasure of smoking.

The sour diesel is bomb too. Took a little nug off the drying rack last night, packed it in the bong, and it surprisingly(or is it?) better than any dispensary sour ive had yet. One word: FLAVOR!!!

Cant wait till this stuff is all cured

sour diesel? I have some amherst SD, and some SD #2, both from hso in cali. I actually had really good luck with dinafems diesel outdoors last summer. where did your SD come from? next to last update??? then what your done....lol I friggin hope not. I love all your pics man!! got me all in suspense here waiting.................for the next pics
