Was some time ago when I last checked prices.

But while the cobs may be equal in price when it comes to PAR/$, if you want the same efficiency you need more 3070s driven lower in which case you're going to pay a premium for more pinfin heatsinks. (and to a much lesser extent the holders)

And with the CXM 22s, CLU048-1818 / 1212 and the V7 Vero, the 3070 doesn't have much place anymore.
Even if the differences are small, there's just not much reason to still buy a 3070.

@frica, Better light distribution is more important than saving saving a few bucks on a couple extra heatsinks. Which is what you can fine tune much better if you don't just focus on the biggest COB per manufacturer.

Sure, Citizen and such are cheaper, but there are still people buying CXB350's and also CXB3070's.

I never said you needed the biggest, the 3070 is just no longer a top choice compared to cheaper chips that can do the exact same.

And if there are still people making diy 3070 builds, then so be it. It just isn't a very reasonable choice when there are cheaper alternatives that are on par with a 3590. Or the even cheaper 1212.

I have the mars pro2 epistar 320 I love it great light the price is a little high but man it's worth it
