credit cards, pre pay visas and security!!!!

Ok well i am going to order from htg supply and have some questions. Everyone says dont use your bank card to order grow products online because it will be traced back to you. So i go to get a pre pay visa and they want identification and a SS#!!!! So theres really no diffrence from using a bank card. How risky is it really to buy legal grow equipment? Anybody had something go wrong? Just wondering what everybodys take on this is. And yes i have read all the other threads about this and most say use pre pay visas. Its all going to your address anyway!!

I agree with you it is one of those things where you just take the risk and do it. Just don't have it sent to an address where you are growing and you will be fine. Owning hydro equipment isn't a crime.

dont worry about it you will be fine.

Find a store close to you and use cash if your not sure about security.

but on the flip side if you use either a bank card or a pre pay visa you pretty much have to get it sent to your address. and if you send it to a friends house you put them in a position. but will they really do anything based on that alone. i mean if you get ratted on the fact that you ordered grow equipment is pretty irrelevant because there coming in anyway!!!!!

you wont get in trouble for ordering grow equipment it is not a crime

my grow shop is 2x more costly, im not really worried but its allways good to check with you guys

have you got seeds yet?

i have a guy that hooks it up with clones, all i need to buy is grow equipment

ordering online is very safe imo,so dont worry about it

Dude, don't get pre-paid credit cards - get the throw-away type.

You purchase a card in the grocery store (or wherever) and it is for a certain amount, let's say $100.00, and when you've used it all - the card is done. No re-fills, no names, no id crap at all.

I guess they are more like a gift card with a Visa MasterCard or American Express logo... lol

Having hydro equipment sent to your house is not a big deal true, but I still either send mine to my mailbox or a relative's - mainly cause I'm not often home during the day and don't like trying to run down UPS or FedEx with their liberal time tables - Will redelivery between 8:00am and 12 noon - who's got that much time to waste sitting and waiting for a package!

But you can have a friend or relative receive your mail, giving them that excuse. No problem unless you think they will open your discreetly wrapped package.

I still would not have seeds sent to my home if I were you. Just not a smart thing to do if you are growing there. And again, if you send it to someone else's house - it is discreetly wrapped.

There is no reason to get the gift cards or anything. Just order the grow equipment, you will be fine. Its not against the law at all. Just order it and have it sent to your house.

dude ull be fine i know plenty of people who have used pre-paid visa or mastercards got everything they needed then cancelled the account on the card so u will be fine if u go that route oh yea and another thing the highest amount them throw away cards go for is 100 bucks

Then get 2 or 3 of them or several, what ever it takes to stop the paper trail.

EDIT: You can use the company's 800# to call and place your order over the phone. Just tell them you need to spread your purchase over a couple of different cards, due to a low balance. They will understand.

You only put your friend in a bad position (and you) if you tell them what's in the box and what you are using it for. Which ofcourse you would never do!!!

And if for some reason your friend gets a knock on the door, he is in no way able to give his questioners any answers. And more than likely will call you to tell you what happened, giving you the heads up you need to get everything to a safe place. That is if your name comes up in the conversation.

Whereas, if these deliveries are coming to your house and LEO is investigating you due to a smell coming from house, discovery in trash, busybody neighbors... etc - Well you have just put another nail in your coffin and they will soon be checking your electric bills, credit card statements, bank accounts... etc - And ofcourse the next step is a warrant.

Why take the chance? And I don't think anybody should be telling someone that WANTS to be careful - not to be careful!!! They will not be doing your TIME for you! You adults are behaving like children taughing a kid to jump off a bridge - if he doesn't want to, then just let him alone!

Sometimes we all forget that most people are not growing with certificates and that everyday about 2000 people get arrested for weed - everyday dude!!! Drug War Facts: Marijuana So the chances that you can get into trouble are pretty high. Why take any more chances?

yea u could do that but with all the idenity theft and credit card fraud going on nowadays dont u think they would get juss a lil bit curious is to why ur using like 4 or 5 different credit cards
