Creating New Strains?

LEts say you get WW female and you put it with Male Ak 47 does the seeds that it produce have traits of both plants or is it just WW seeds ?

it will have both. though i crossed a roadtrip with a roadtrip and got a roadtrip. i also took the same male pollen and pollinated a female belladonna with a male roadtrip. it looks all roadtrip. i dunno.

Unstable genetics my friend......I think this was posted by NGT....GOOD INFO....

The real reason why nirvana seeds are so cheap is that nirvana are not a serious breeder, they dont have decent parent stock, they have just got seeds from other breeders and crossed them or bred them, so basically the genetic line isn't as stable.

Parent stock are either land race strains or true breeding strain.

Land race means that the plant hasnt been messed with, its still in the image god created it in.

True breeding is where a company has been breeding a seed for so long that the genetics are completely stable, then it is considered a true breeding strain. Skunk #1 is a strain of this nature.

If you cross two different strains together you will end up with whats known as a f1 hybrid. An f1 hyrbid should be pretty stable and have consistant results that resemble the breeders description.

If you cross two f1 hybrids together that are similar in their genetic make up, (their pheonotypes) then you get whats called an f2 hyrbid which isnt as stable.

Most sites advertise if its f1, as you can see on nirvanas website very few are actually an f1 hybrid which means you could see considerable variation from the single pack of seeds.
