Materials I will be gathering
CO2 remote PPM control with ventilation override
Inkbird humidity and temperature controller
custom built 1.5ft wide by 2 ft deep by 6 foot tall room
in the bottom 3 feet, there would be a chamber left open that can be closed and ducted externally to the top chamber for drying or outside if needed but is normally seperate.
in this chamber will be the condensing half of a dehumidifier, a fan blowing on it, two air pumps, A co2 tank, and if theres room a drain bucket ( bucket can be put externally if not enough space.
the top 3 foot chamber would have in order going from the top of the chamber:
Led grow lights
The dehumidifier evaporator coil that will be modified into a "head"
a small oscillating fan
a Remote Co2 ppm control
a cool mist humidifier connected to the rainbird
a DWC reservoir. it will have an airstone and air lifts hanging off of them i found this nice picture explaining how the air lift works to make this an RDWC system
an Electric heater
also will need to get an Ro system and specific nutrients for this
So I believe I am capable of modifying an old dehumidifier to make it into a small micro A/c Unit.
my plan is to create a controlled micro box using the things I've listed. I plan on doing Co2 and hydro, and I have never done hydro.
The reason i choose hydro is i can add Co2 to the foliage zone, while keeping the o2 levels very high in the root zone and they will be seperate. I am not sure about chilling the water but i was hoping that i could make the reservoir big enough and insulate it well enough that it would stay below 70deg F
I can take cuttings with my bubble cloner but not sure what to put these into and what water levels and mediums to use in the net pots , or even what size net pot. I was thinking one 6" -8" netpot with a 3"cube in it or something. Just take my bubble clones , put those into the rockwool cubes with clay pebbles and water them in right? I could use some guidance on this, and also what a cheap hydro specific nutrient I could use without having to pH would be sweet. The single plant would be manifolded through a scrog screen that would also have the co2 tubes on it
Parameters (correct me if im wrong)
Day temp 80-90 deg F
Night temp 60-70deg F
Day time Ppm co2 1200-1400
Night time Ppm co2 [off] (do i need to introduce fresh air at night to the foliar area?)
water temp 65-70deg F
Humidity 45-55% RH
I have always wanted to build a micro set up. This will also be convertable to a drying room for other harvests which will be nice.
I'm also not sure how the a/c will work with the ink bird
I suppose i would have to use the heater in the same cabinet to negate the cooling if its too humid but how would the ink bird control the humidity and temperature with unit? hmm...
any input is very appreciated i've been thinking about this for a long ass time thanks! I drew a picture in paint but i cant upload it for some reason
