ok heres the deal, i read in the "indoor bible" that its best to take clones from plants that are at least 2 months old and 24 inches tall. also its not good if take clones from flowering plants, so i waited 2 months b4 i started flowering. yea so needless to say my plants are "crazy tall" and i dont have much room for them b4 they start burning. they have had ample light through out their grow so they are not leggy, but i think the stain is a hybrid on the sativa side. maybe a 60/40 cross idk? the leafs arent that fat but there not that skinny like a sativa also. anyways im kinda doing a SOG in soiless mix and i think that SOG is making them get taller to fight for the light. ive been supercroping them the best i can. they are only 2 weeks into 12/12 and are looking good but just too tall. i feel like chopping 12 inches off the base and graft it back together. lol, that would suck though because im sure it would delay harvest and have the chance of not fusing together, because ive never done any grafting myself. sorry for the novel. ya.............. YOU GUYS ROCK. THANK YOU FOR YOUR KIND REPLYS. WHOOOOO YEAAAH

Tie the tops down, try and get them to grow vertically. Otherwise, you started flowering too late, not much you can do.

Thanks mr.KingOfBud for your reply!! ya i have been tying down the tops along with the supercroping, because some times they spring back up again if you dont bend them over enough. ill just have to tie more and tighten up what i have tied. ill fight it to the end. its going to be difficult but i might be able to muster my troops in to helping me win this battle. lol. anyways ya i did start flowering too late, i grew once b4 and they didnt get half this tall after flowering. but last time i did everything wrong; didnt ph the solution, M Grow for nutes, toxic salt buildup, etc etc. this time around did alot more research, thanks to RIU ppl, and my plants are alot healthier i just didnt realize that it would be THAT much of a difference. ty K.O.B!:peace:

Haha np. If it comes to the point where you have absolutely no room. You can take largish clones and leave them flowering. Some will die and most wont yield very well. But it beats throwing out ya femmies!

hey KOB, you dont mind me reffer ing(referring. reffer ya ya kicks ass lol jk) to you like that do you? anyways, im kinda confused what you mean by your last post. all my plants in flowering are females. all my clones are female too. i have two separate spaces, one for vegging and one for flowering. the ones in the flowering room were from some femm seeds and the space is packed. can you please enlighten me on "you can take largish clones and leave them flowering" means. i guess im just confused, i am def looking for any suggestions. im thinking about taking a couple lesser plants outa my space so the other plants can be tied down further. idk just a thought. thanks for your reply again KOB.:mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::peace::peace::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen:

Hah. Basically, im saying, you take clones off the plant that is too big for the space, then just leave them in the flowering room. Its just better than killing them if you need to chop down plants due to space. You could put them in the veg chamber, and revert them to vegging, if you're in it for the long term :D

Hey Tarded, you could try bushmaster it will stop verticle growth. Its a little exspensive though. If you do use it BE CARFUL. its powerful. I would use just half of what they recommend. Ive burnt some of my plants with it using the amount that says on the bottle.

KOB, i have taken clones all ready, i took them a little over 2 weeks ago(doing ok too). thats why i waited and they got outa control tall because i didnt want to revert anything back to veg. and i guess for best results your supposed to wait 2 months b4 you take clones(?) are you suggesting that i chop off the main colas to attenuate the height issue????

Budsworth, lol "hey Tarded" sorry lmao. hey great post, i was actually thinking about using the bushmasters after reading a post from ABudSmoker saying how great it was. he said to be conservative with it because his plants look like lowrider when they were done. lol, ya i wish i got some b4 the grow, i heard of the stuff but didnt know how effective it really was. plus i wasnt anticipating them to shoot up as much as they did. thanks for stoping buy and giving advice. i shouldnt have to worry as much about height next grow because i dont have to wait two months for vegging, but my clones are going to have to wait that long till i make space so maybe ill look into bushmasters. im just going to try and stunt their growth with lower temps and less light.....? hopefully they wont get leggy though.

gvega, thats a good question, i dont see why it wouldnt work, right? i wonder if ppl have tried this to make hybrids? i know they do it with fruit trees and pine trees but thats where my knowledge stops short with grafting.

+1 rep for all you for stopping by and helping me out. i love to give these things out :):mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::peace::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen:
