My buddy just gave me this nice looking purple weed. Unknown strain, said he grew it with a random seed. Gonna try it out later tonight.

Look like the rest in the background. Nice gift. The purple is cool looking and all but it really honestly means ....well....it`s purple....no more !iMy buddy just gave me this nice looking purple weed. Unknown strain, said he grew it with a random seed. Gonna try it out later tonight.
False. Purple is in the genetics. Cold temps can cause purple spots or pistils, but not full on purple buds. Many strains of weed are genetically purple. BUT, if the temps are very cold during flowering it'll turn the buds purple.
Idiot dealers do this so they can jack up the price, so if your buying its hard to tell whether you're actually smoking purple genetics or just a cold flowered bud.
I agree. The only qualities I really enjoy in purple strains are usually taste/smell and or smoothness. I don't like to trade those qualities for potency though so I tend not to actively pursue or choose purple strains.purple buds are pretty and tend to be weak
Yeah your right, I bought some Purple Kush a while back (Probably not real PK..) and it barely got me high.purple buds are pretty and tend to be weak
I grew some purple erkle and it finished in 50 days. great yield, pretty buds, good smell/taste...I agree. Looks like purple urkle(sp). I'm gonna attach an old pic from last year that was a blueberry hybrid, also the prettiest plant I have ever grown. Unfortunately, it wasn't as potent as it looks.Nah this is def a purple strain, friend has been growing for a while. Few months ago he gave me some northern lights, it was all green.
