I just saw an infomercial for TopsyTurvy tomato growing.

Soo would it work for weed?bongsmilie

I'm thinking no, because of a lack of room for roots, but maybe?

It would work but not well, not enough light the plants would be growing down while the light source was above it. Possibly if you put lighting below it but I wouldn't do it myself. Good thought though.

Hmm, lighting below, haha i kinda just wanna buy one, and use some bagseed, haha they are only 20 bucks.

It's chill it won't hurt anything, you could always try it and put CFL's below it, just need to find a way to water it without getting the bulbs wet.

iv tryed it on a outside grow with a 2liter coke bottle just to experiment..it stayed healty looking. but instead of growing down, it did what i figured it would do, start growing in a hook shape and simply started to upright itself. the stem was like 4inches long befor the 2nodes even started to show. so i just took her down and stuck her in the grown. shes growing good now...but i can see that it would work if u put lights below the plant..."SHOULD" work..

My stepbrother has grown them upside down before. I don't know why or how it turned out though, just that he's done it. He asked me if I'd grown any upside down yet is how I know and ever since he asked I have wondered about those topst turvy things. they're at Target, WalMart, the garden supply place near me, everywhere.

Topsy turvys are fucking straight garbage. Marketing gimic, play toy for people who love wasting their time, peice of shit.

Dont bother. See the problem with a topsy turvy it that some idiot human had the bright idea to attempt to fool nature into growing non vining plants towards the ground (wich also grow up towards the sun).
Think about it, geneticly every single peice of plant matter on the entire planet from the bottom of the ocean to the tops of the leaves on the tallest trees is designed to grow UP towards the sun.


All youre doing with a topsy turvy is attempting to reverse millions of years of natural bio engineering. If you ask me, Fail.

That being said, the only shit ive ever seen grow successfully is the smallest of small cherry tomato plants.

Then i did some research and realize there was already some threads about this haha.
I think i'll invest in some different things, maybe an 1/8 or something hahha

Actually, its very researched and proven. Prove me otherwise.

Show me one plant that grows towards the ground naturally.

Even moss grows UP brain drain.

Get real.

what does growing towards the ground have to do with it? The trailer grow used 5 gal pots with holes in the bottom and maxed his grow using vertically hung bulbs, whats your prob? It is not a crazy idea.

No pictures, No evidence. The words of a forum post are not admissable in court (also not grounds for any sort of search warrant). But i can only assume that youre as educated on the laws, as you are on horticulture and the laws of nature.

pay this guy no mind. what does growing upwards or down have to do with anything. plants grow up for one reason and one only - source of energy for photosynthesis. if that light was coming from below it'd grow down.

to have him stfu.

vertical grow dot org is on the up and coming futuristic grows. roto or omega grow can be googled (basically a fucking wheel where evrerything grows towards the center).
