You think the CMA and the C of P&Ss care about pr?....Jesus people, these groups are at war right now against HC!
Point taken. I keep on making the mistake of looking at it from a business perspective where image is a make or break.

According to HC's own numbers there is currently 500,000 canadians that use cannabis for medical purposes.
These numbers were pure horseshit though. It was the number of users who had used marijuana 1 or more times in the past year. If you answered yes, they then asked "Was it for medical purposes?". Includes far too many people that are not regular users and would likely never get a prescription.

I think 1.5% of the population is what the number should be. Based on studying the medical States's #s.

I spoke with someone who is in charge of a large group of nurses and he said the whole idea seems realistically possible and that it should work. I'm fairly certain he's aware of what the guidelines say.

Still doing my research though - I need more informed individuals who understand that process before I decide if it actually makes sense or not.
Oddish...can you not find another hobby than pretending your part of the MMJ community. Contact here...contact there. WTF are you doing here. Your vanilla wishy washy posts are becoming just dribble man.
go find a subject that you are more familiar with. I bet you've never even smoked weed..have you? Your not a patient either...so beyond your 'interest" as you say in this subject. I can't figure out why your wasting your time here...and plenty of time too boot. You sir, are not what you say you are ...hunch.

Sorry about that.

I know quite a bit about computers. Everybody knows about computers now. I'm running out of unique skills.

I bet you've never even smoked and weed..have you?
I have actually. Depending on the time it was either LA Confidential to combat my inability to turn my brain off and sleep or it was OG to have a good time. I tried XXX for back pain but found it ineffective. I rarely smoke it though, I tend to go the vapor route due to having asthma and generally terrible ability to breathe.

I'm not what I say I am because I don't often say what I am. When I do say what I am, it's exactly what I am.
Right now what I am is not easy to explain - I'm not a consultant, I don't own an LP, I don't have an MMPR application and I happen to know people in all those roles. I just hangout and drink coffee.

I'm here to gather information for my mental library as much as I am to share information.
I'll stop sharing as much as I can though because it really just leads to more questions and complaints from people.

One day we can all help each other.

"The lack of doctors and nps signing new documents is the single biggest threat to the success of the MMPR program."

I couldn't agree with you more on that .

As I said, I'm early in the learning process. All I know is what I've heard and read.

That said, I've deviated much of my research to the handling of product as opposed to the prescription of it.
Prescribing appears, based on what I'm reading here and elsewhere, to be an issue that may not have a solution yet.
I am a nurse in Ontario. Nurse Practitioners are governed by the CNO College of Nurses of Ontario, they are not currently able to write a prescription for marijuana.

Thank you. Do you anticipate that this policy will change?

I actually do think it will change. Just not very fast..... Nursing is a much more holistic practice than medicine is. Herbal and natural preparations are generally more accepted in the nursing field than by most physicians. I do have friends that work for the CNO but changes occur very slowly there. I would expect that until there is a change in the federal government, there will be little progress on NPs prescribing cannabis, at least in Ontario.

Is each province governed independently or is it regional? Can they actually pull your "licence"? This is so fucked up...I thought these colleges were regulatory as opposed to....I don't know what the word is...controlling??...I think Conroy hit it on the head...docs have been dying for years there is no supporting documentation regarding the efficacy of med mari....yet for the past number of years they have done nothing to look for or attempt to change the status quo ( and I don't mean to lump everyone together).
