court case

a friend of mine had a court case today for 2nd degree murder and he said the da didnt show up for it . is this possible??

Of course it's possible or the DA to not show up to court. Things happen, people forget, etc. etc.

This is actually a fairly common occurrence. If the DA has a weak or less than solid case he may be under political pressure to make it more solid. He'll not show up for court as long as he can get away with it to allow for more research and investigation time. If the judge get's pissy about he can declare a mistrial and your friend will go back in custody or remand (whatever he got at his arraignment) and a second court date will be scheduled. This could go on for a VERY long time.

the court system is so outa wack.....2nd degree murder though. holy shit man......i hope he has a good lawyer and the DA has ZERO evidence on him. make sure you blaze him up on that dank....he could be lookin @ 10+ years.

ya man it sucks he sold one of his friends some pills and that friend some his other friend the pills and the 2nd friend od on them and the first friend, well not anymore, snitched and said it was all him . but he has the highest paid lawyer in memphis but he looking at a 2 year plea bargain.

go to away to the pen for ten or talk to the cops and send a friend ------ 2 years for 2nd degree murder?



damn.. idk court systems too well but that doesnt sound right?
