Could You Take a Look at my Trichs?

Hello all,
I attached 5 pics of my girl. number 4 is of the trichs Not sure if they look clear or cloudy to me. Any thoughts on how the plants and/or trichs look? How long do they (on average) take to get a little amber? Have not started to flush for harvest yet.

looks like you gott a lil ways to go i saw some white pistols still on the plant.
you got a scope(30-100x) to look at the trichs with? looks goo tho

The only scope I have is a 15x -not enough- and a 60x-100x which is impossible for me to use because it is so small and my hands shake like a mother.

well i would give it a few more weeks then look at it.. good luck man

15x should be enough
but to get a shake free pic with the 60x, get something to steady your hand with
i used a chair which was just the right height to rest my magnifier on

i think its pretty close how long have you been in 12/12 i would start your flush now water with only water and mollasses

Flowering for almost ten weeks now. Still using fox farm schedule. How much mollasses in a gallon of water?

I got this info from Jason Wilcox on youtube. First the trichomes will start out clear immature and small with no body below the heads. Then as it gets closer to being ready for harvest they start to turn milky and gain more body to the trich. When its about time to harvest(every plant and every person has a different opinion) the trichomes will start to bend at the tips or look kinda limp. The heads should all be milky and some maybe none could be amber(meaning Degradation of trichome)depending on what type of high you wanted to get out of it, some people say cut early for indicas and stay later for sativas but its all preference. In the end as long as your happy who cares

10 wks theyre almost done if not done flush for a wk with water and mollasses 2 teaspoons per gallon mix with a little hot water to let the mollasses dissolve and then add the rest room temp water and shake real good to get alot of air bubbles in there

Thank you. I will start water and water w/ molasses today. I have another concern. My other plant. Same 10 weeks into flower. Most pistils are red but there are no trichs at ALL. I don't want her taking un-needed space that would be better utilized for my other one. I've attached some pics. She started out real weird. I never cropped it but it came up with three tops. Anyway i've also taken a sample or two from it and not so much as a little buzz. Should I pitch it?

i've seen some mention of no trich buds, supposedly some can be real powerful
how that is, i don't know
if you know the strain, you could mention what it is
i wouldn't be in a hurry to pitch it, many have told of buds that have no buzz fresh, then turn into dank after curing

I'm not sure the strain. It's bag seed. How long should I wait? I've only seen harvest advice that says to look at trichomes to know when to harvest. But what to do when there are none? Also the leaves are very brittle right now.

it may be a bad plant, i don't have experience with a 'no tric plant' to give you a good call on how long to wait
but your other plant sounded pretty mature, doesn't sound like it really needs anymore space
just not sure that dumping it now is going to help you other plant, depends on your setup
the dry leaves are likely a sign of maturity, plant pic looks nice
just saying if it's not harming anything, may be a bit quick to dump it
there are some pros that visit this forum that may have a better call

That's cool. I will make another reassesment in about two weeks when I pull the other one. And post what I have at that time.

Mold! I found mold growing on my main cola. I know I can't smoke it but is it safe to make hash with? Would I have to make ISO hash? Seems like all that hard work for nothing.

that's a killer, f'ing mold, i lost a bit of bud to mold recently
a moldy bud on a still live plant is probably pretty badly molded
ISO hash will certainly kill most mold spores
mold may contain other compounds, penicillin mold has penicillin, which may not be nice
i did a bit of research on ways of dealing with mold
from what i've read, the 'safest' method of using molded bud is a vaporizer
mold spores are deactivated by the heat
i'd still be very wary to use a heavily molded bud, best of luck on other buds/plants

Those "look" done to me mayne. Keep in mind that the plant will continue to produce new white hairs even after it has matured, so a better way is to look at the trichs, I like to harvest at 20-30% milky.

Yeah I'm going to harvest tomorrow night. I'll keep the light off all day and harvest in the evening. Been using water/ water and molasses for past week and a half and will give a good water flush tonight. Took a sample last night and quick dried with jar on the stovetop and got pretty damn high so am looking forward to the final product. I appreciate everyones help and comments. Next grow ---- more air circulation/ exhuast!!
