thats my thing. the security of it. even with nuclear warfare these could keep u safe and give u a piece of mind. you could grow tons of bud too and no one could fuck with you. also u could go out kicking zombie ass all day and a safe place to rest your head at night. now for the perfect zombie kick ass vehicle.I think the reason we were all nutting over the shelters is the confidence knowing that if an armed force can't get in, then in the time it will take the cops to get in you could take your time harvesting, curing, and smoking your entire crop, get rid of anything incriminating, make a large meal and a pot of tea, and open the door saying "I didn't hear you at the door... ",
i have been looking those up too. i have always had a love for zombie shit. anyone watch walking dead on tv?

Can you drown something that is technically DEAD already? A zombie does not need oxygen, so even if it took them a while they could eventually get across. A tall mortar and stone wall would be fine. You could relieve some stress with target practice.

ok i just stumbled across this thread and i havent read threw it yet but first off let me say i have thought of an actual outbreak zombie type "disease" spreading and in fact it has been reported in remote locations in england or somewhere i cant remember but regaurdless i HAVE THOUGHT OF THIS and i must say i think i would stand a good chance with me and intermediate family owning 30 acres of land many vehichles that could easily be converted to say a SAFE ride along with having a full 12 bay garage/barn with lift, welder, plasma cutter, drill press, ect ect ect along with a few john deer farm tractors and many other things i have considered that would help out in such an outbreak. i also believe there should be a "network" or a site setup for those who say are "prepared" for such an event so if such event were to break out we would be able to be connect and help eachother. i dont know i could go on and on ive also looked in to weapon making and such so if it were to happen i would know how. i currently own an ST-15 spikes tactical and a mossberg 500 with pistol grip pump both with folding stock and reg, extra clips, scopes, ect ect so ya ive thought about this lol. will read through the thread now lol

well, steal a mustang and put boards on the windows with barbed wire. go to stores like wally word and peavey mart, get an axe some flints lighters some dehydrated food guns and head up to something like a mall with people seal the entrances...broadcast on all frequencies yada yada haha

i would try to use my previous experience (military, martial arts...etc) to get my wife and whomever was alive/ of use. check news. hit pawn shops for extra fire power, then hospitals for fun meds and necessities. search for food and survivors. ( whom may turn into food depending)
once a safe location is taken, plant some haze seeds. and, wait it out with heavy fire power, lots of pain pills, a radio, tv, a few splifs, a few laughs, and maybe a zombie-girl pet or two......for my, lets say... experiments. and have a real horror-show, like say. i would probally end up flying my new and free, due to circumstances, small jet with my lady, pills and drugs, hot zombie girl pets, and what survivors i could fit and fly away.

a daniel defens m4 carbine, trijicon acog 4x32, 6 p-mags and 5,000 rds of light armor piercing 62gr
arsenal ak-47, 4 mags, 2,000 rds
blaser tactical 2 in .300 win mag 3x12x50mm burris xtreme tactical scope, 1000 rds

I would Still be all for hopping in my truck with my pets, weed,seeds, guns, bows and ammo.
In the trailer would be all of the survival gear: tents,canned food,pots,clothing,bedding,gasoline,diesel,generat or etc...
Most likely I would go somewhere high in the mountains where it is very unpopulated, picking up survivors on the way, and running over any of the unfortunate living dead that got in the way of my 16 inch lift and 46 inch tires.
It is very unlikely that any of the living dead would even be able to reach my door handles let alone get inside the cab of my truck if all else fails.
