Could You Survive A Zombie Outbreak?

I would have thought smell, but it could be a combinatin of smell and visual cues. I.E., has learned eating humans taste good, humans have certain behaviors to draw their attention from a distance. They've learned zombies taste bad, so when they see you looking/acting like a zombie at a distance, they don't go for it...of course, if they catch your sent, I'm not sure that would still work...

Just do like Bill Murray did in "Zombieland" and use makeup to make yourself look like them and walk and act like them and blend in with them and they'd ignore you. He even went golfing without needing a tee time or needing to wait.
It will not work...Zombies can tell those that are not like them. You either have the virus, or you do not...once you do, you "join the family".

I think it would be fairly easy to contain any outbreak unless it's the kind that's not a virus but rather dead returning to life like in the Romano flicks, then you'd be fucked.

We're almost the same on the ammo, I don't have the vests, but I have the night vision.:blsmoke:

It'll also help to hook up with people with cb and ham radios...Those will be the methods of communication that will stay open the longest...for if no other reason so that we can compare kills to determine the zombie kill of the week

I would hop in my truck with my pets, weed, seeds, guns, bows and ammo.

In the trailer would be all of the survival gear: tents, canned food, pots, clothing, bedding, gasoline, diesel, generator etc...

Most likely I would go somewhere high in the mountains where it is very unpopulated, picking up survivors on the way, and running over any of the unfortunate living dead that got in the way of my 16 inch lift and 46 inch tires.

It is very unlikely that any of the living dead would even be able to reach my door handles let alone get inside the cab of my truck if all else fails.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO ??

†LHAO† Thats a solid fucking plan...save you might want to throw some vegetable/fruid/herbs&spice seeds in there for food...
what would I do? Right now we've already started growing vegetables herbs n spices in the backyard, and we're planning on getting some fruit trees. of course that doesn't take care of the meat, but there is a blank lot right behind my place we were thinking of getting to increase growing space, as well as maybe keep some goats, rabbits and the like.
Only have a handgun, a medieval chopper, a sword and various daggers, and a makeshift blowtorch with descent pressure and range, and I can use everything from alcohol to gasoline with foam dissolved in it (aka home napalm). Need to get more fire extinguishers since I'm using that approach, but for the alcohol method I have a long hose and water pressure here is REAL good. I would fortify my area, making zombie traps and the like, and would hook up with neighbors, most of them around here have guns and are all round good folk that tend to look after each other anyways. When I knew my wife and daughter got the hang of things, I would make my way three hours east, snatch my brother and his kid, and get the fuck back. We're also planning on getting solar generators, because to me that seems like the only real long term electric solution...I would get to making a cover for it as well in case of hail storms and the like...

I like the guy in the walking dead with a bow. A nice cross bow and you have lots of easily made reusable ammo. A bit messy though.

Run a high risk of getting infected though. One cut and you have it...

The one advantage is quiet cerebral shots, but I would leave the bolts behind.

I think i would hold up in a home depot, shit its got damn near everything, tools building supplys, generators, welders, ect... If my friends survived i would get them and we would take over a home depot, barracade ourselves in and set up shop. sniper towers on the roof, lookout pionts around the building. i would build fresh water holding tanks and bring in a nice RV to camp in. i could get food items from local grocery stores before they spoiled and store them. the possabilities are endless at a home depot. lots of room, brick walls, metal doors, hell I think i'll go now.

Since the entire zombie outbreak is fantasy where is there an actual limit on what sort of fantasy replay that would work can be made?

If total fantasy works for the basic subject matter than why not just get a chick like Rose McGowan in "Planet Terror" who has an automatic weapon that never runs out of ammunition in place of a leg a zombie bit off her and just let her blow them all away so you can make your escape?

Maybe the one sure way to survive would be to own this home, or a similar one, and have it very well stocked with everything you could ever need. Since it is an old Atlas-F missile site that was designed to withstand a nuclear blast directly overhead, air-burst, not ground-burst, and it has an air filtration system that will keep out chemical agents, biological agents and nuclear fallout ... and the 2,000 pound doors to the LCC, the underground unit, were each designed to withstand 10,000 psi of blast pressure ... and it is deep in the Adirondack Mountains pretty far away from people ..... I think someone might be fairly safe there.

What do you guys think?
