There are several threads about lighting, ventilation etc. They will give you lots of info,read all you can about the subject. Ask people who know,there are lots on here ,and we are willing to help. Be careful and good luck.

same set up i have mine are sprouting right now

i have 3 100watt clfs thought and the fans keep the rubbermaid cool it just feels hot up there to u hahah

do you have 3 100 watt cfls, or 3 cfls that give out an equivilent of 100 watts a peice? Be careful, there is a difference.

Go to HD or Lowes and buy a janitor's closet. One of those things you stick brooms and mops in. Paint the inside white. Add lights. Add ventilation. Grow plants. This total solution is 6 square feet and $400 dollars. Most important is the safety. This will grow plants and NOT burn down the house.

This strikes home for me... i was living with a friend of mine and he thought it was a good idea to use starter fluid to kill yellow jackets in the eves of the roof.... well when he ignited those hives soaked with starter fluid... with his starter fluid torch (you know the old lighter in front of an airisol can) the flame shot into the attic vent and caught the insulation of fire..... i had 15 minutes to get as much of my stuff out as i could... then it took the fire department 2 hours to put it out......needless to say after that it was time to find a new place to live, and this time i got renters insurance.

Well, this is a nice image for encouragment....
I found out that my attic doesnt have a specific breaker an i have to find out which breaker is part of the attic, but to put it crystal clear:
I need to turn off this breaker for the attic. Ok
I have to cut the cable that leads to the light bulb socket right?
There should be 3 cables??? (white, black, green)
Which I have to hook up to a GFCI outlet(I think I saw some at walmart for like $11), screw to the wall then im set?

sorry for so many questions but i dont want to get killed for guessing what to do :)

If you need to ask these questions, you are not qualified to proceed. Electricians do not learn house wiring from a correspondents course. You can't either.

I took a course in household wiring at school, and worked in the building trades for 35 years and still am learning. This is life and death stuff please be careful. The problem is , that as growing is illegal no one does inspections on these jobs, my old lady says that I should set up a consulting service,but I wouldn't know how to start..

Yea this is exactly what I mean, Id rather get mocked for asking a couple more questions than playing around with somthing that could kill, and also like you said Im really good with PCs but I learn somthing new every day.

wiring is not as mystical as people make it seem. I can work on HOT wires with tools no prob.

I'm not trying to mock anyone (at this moment). But, you and others need to understand that wiring is a deadly dangerous business. Most of the questions people ask in these forums cannot be answered in good conscience, because a person can get into so much trouble, so easily. I still believe the simplest solution for you is a janitor's closet. Use a smaller indoor grow variety seed and away you go.

Sure and so can I, but, I wouldn't advise DYI types to do that , I do know what I am doing, and still have gotten zapped sometimes, usually due to my own carelessness when rushing a job.
